This is something I drew while trying to come up with something to make for the next project in my Form and Space class. I call him Mr. Creeper.I had been wanting to do a series of tree people, but I wasn't really expecting this to be the start. They were supposed to be pretty. Anyways, Tree People live in forests, they're it's protectors. They're a bit like dryads. They range from very human looking, to very animal or tree-like. Mr. Creeper is on the more tree-like side of things. Eventually, he may become a tree, if he continues. The closer a Tree Person is to a particular aspect of the forest, the closer they begin to resemble them. If a Tree Person chooses to spend their lives among humans, they will appear human, but if they choose to only live among the trees, you get something like Mr. Creeper. Mr. Creeper isn't a bad dude, he's actually fairly wise. He's just a bit creepy looking. He actually manages to spend a fair amount of time among the Tree People; he likes to keep them up to date with what's going on with the trees.
Tree People are essentially magical creatures, but they don't really have magical powers.

I also haven't decided if the tree people are going to be side characters in the world of the graphic novel I'm working on, or if they're completely separate. I think they might be half there. They'll be regular humans, nomadic people who get mistaken for all sorts of creatures by the local villagers. If I decide to put them in at all. Making up tree people stories is much more fun that trying to come up with a plot for my comic.
