Another image I'm working on vectorizing. This one is more detailed, and is going to take longer.Estimated time: 2 days.
Update day 1: I've finished vectoring over 4 cars total. I've started on the fifth one, and have also started on the structure of the building. Currently at 48 layers, and the XCF file is 17.1MB (equivalent to a hundred or so MB PSD). Computer is running desperately low on RAM while editing this image, and I'm thinking its around 40% complete at this point.

Since you mentioned XCF files, I'm assuming you are using the GIMP.
If so, could you point me to a tutorial on vectorizing images, please?
As to the image, it looks fascinating and I'm looking foward to the final vectorized image.
