I didn't record all of it, since I probably sat on this for half a day all in all, and seeing scales being painted one by one might become a bit boring,,
And there's still a tiny voice inside me that tells me that it still isn't as good as it could've been,, but that's probably because I stared at it for 4 hours straight yesterday evening when trying to get it done for today (we went and got it printed

i love the sheer amount of detail in this ;o; every scale is painted so lovingly, and even the little background details (the smoky shapes of other dragons, the faint silhouettes of buildings in the upper corner) are just amazing ;u; not only is the composition of this fabulous, but i just adore the touches of red in an otherwise monochrome painting <3 the little touches of color really pop, and the little streaks and drips of blood make me really happy for some reason LOL this dragon is just really badass and i love it <3

Thank you so much!!! I can't say for sure, but it's certainly somewhere around 10 hours!
I worked on this in intervals during a week or so, plus I cleaned and corrected inbetween recording the process.
This was the first time I did such a planned and detailed project, because my personal artwork used to be mostly quickly drawn and sketchy,, so I'm so happy that I managed to power through it till the end!!

It turned out so beautiful, i'd say it was definitely worth it <3 and wow o: for the amount of detail in this, 10 hours doesn't seem like long at all! LOL this would take me 20 years RIP

pain and struggle 
At the beginning of this I was despairing, since I had no idea where or how to start, but once you get going, you begin to stop doubting yourself at every step
One of the tricks to painting was to learn to go from sketchy, fuzzy and messy to more and more details,, it's like one big clean-up, so you gotta have an idea of what you wanna draw before anything else
