It's very good work, if I were to have two very tiny criticisms, it would be that in real life the band behind the trigger tends to be almost polished smooth and that any marks on the outside of the barrel tend to be front to back rather than around, call it 98.5 out of 100 and I used to own an old well worn 1911A1

Remarkable 3D model my man, for a good moment I considered this to be a machined cut away of a real Colt handgun. The pitting and scratches on the ferrous metal surfaces is what sold it for me at first to be real... seriously I am still taken aback by the detail you have put into this piece. Top shelf Abiator, top shelf work indeed.

Can you say where one can obtain a set of READABLE blue prints, to practice solid-modeling the individual components from? All the prints I've found are incomplete or have sections blurred out so that constructing an accurate model is impossible.
