Cardinal will surely yell at her, but Blue Thrush is probably used to it by now. Besides, she can't do anything to stop the plane and Cardinal is falling faster, and Blue Thrush acts more on her instincts and emotions, so the choice is clear for her.

You make a good point, even if accidentally.Β The plane has a decent glide ratio.Β Cardinal's glide ratio is a negative number.Β So, if Blue can get Red back in the game then maybe Red can stop the plane from crashing.

Well, if I remember Cardinal is the one with superhuman strength, so what would Blue Thrush be able to do in reality? Try to catch up with a crashing plane and pull the pilot loose to safety in time? Or save Cardinal, who we all know she's in love with even if Cardinal doesn't see her that way at all? Not really a question, no? You're right, of course.Β There's nothing Blue could really do.Β She's definitely not suited for catching falling airplanes, that's for sure.
On the other hand, saving the woman she's in love with?Β She's choosing Red.
