And then there was lulz.Finally got her done. Can't say its my best artistic work to date. Water effects are evil, had to redo that a couple times. It was a minor effort just trying to keep Ogra from looking like she had rinestones embedded into her skin. Thankfully this is a case where the SD part of SD kaiju is in full effect. I actually looked up an SD Godzilla model to see how I could go about doing her. All the features are there and we even have Gorgo down there for comparison.
Humor wise I have the ancient conversation between mother and child about food. I really doubt they are maneaters but after getting attacked by the entire British Navy and a mob of Irish fishermen you'd wonder if they would have held a grudge. Enjoy.

Heh, it's awesome how you managed to get that "annoyed yet loving" face that moms get on, y'know, a giant dinosaur. Very, very funny. And I love the humor - playing up the motherly aspect of Ogra was definitely the way to go, as it's the most distinct aspect of her as a monster. And of course I think artistically it's a beautifully drawn and colored piece. Excellent work as always Ren.

Thanks TT, I was projecting my own boredom through her I think. When it comes to giant monsters, the major thing that can convey expressions is the eyes it turns out.

That would Minya and it would be epically hilarious. Though I'll admit that outside of size advantage, Gorgo holds the edge in that fight. While he may not have the potential for nuclear breath, he is a naturally destructive animal that takes serious offense to being messed with. Minya is a puss until goaded beyond measure with no way out.
