Awesome Improvement! But I have to say, that I like both versions. It's like two completely different characters! The old one looks kinda cocky and cute, but the newer one looks more mature and sexy

asjdkhals I really enjoyed drawing this. I do need to improve on background but I left it simple because I didn't want to detract from the detail of the subject.

Hey, saw this on artist confessions. I have to say, it's really nicely done, and an incredible improvement.

; __ ; Thank you! I can credit taking advice from friends and learning from them in how much I've improved. I really started improving when I got into paintchats and made my 3 best friends.

That's a great way to learn As someone who is self taught, I can tell you that the advice of others can be priceless!

Holy shit, that's a lot of improvement! D:
I think I still draw like I do in 2009. Same lackluster poses...Same wonky anatomy. This really inspires me...

hmmm I looked through your gallery but I couldn't find any from 2009 so I'll just give you some advice since everyone needs advice to help them concentrate on what to do to improve. the most prominent part of your pieces are the long necks. If you want to keep this in your style I would suggest adding a bit more muscle connecting the shoulders and neck for more support. I don't think you should go for perfect anatomy as your base style since that can get boring though practicing in perfect anatomy before going into your own style would be a good idea. You need to know the rules before you can break em!

Also! When you're sketching out, do the pose first and the details after! Even if it ends up getting covered by the hair etc. You should be drawing the details around the anatomy, not the anatomy around the details. If it makes sense, you should be able to imagine the non-visible parts without it being wonky. A random example of where you could do this to improve is on that picture of Grell of yours.

But I like your coloring style! The one where her skin is shaded in a highly saturated purple is really interesting and unique! I hope this helps!

Oh, thank you! I love getting feedback on my artworks. ;w; It was all very helpful. My drawing class is going to go over anatomy for the next few weeks, so I am very excited for that, as well. Gettin' ready for the anatomy practices of my LIFE. XD
I actually do make my poses first. They start as stick people. Lolz.
And here's the stuff from 2009. ~MewZakuro123 Have fun while you're there. D:

have them start as stick people, then ball-and-rectangle people. u v u

I see some decent improvement in how "confident" your lines and in your coloring style as well!

That's what they turn into. XD I notice that I have a problem with conveying a sense of three dimensions when I draw peeps. I think it's because I look up to an artist who always drew his people flat. They lacked so much dimension, and it apparently, rubbed off on me. But I will try my best to make my people look as three dimensional as I can. Practice makes perfect!

Yeah, but I haven't noticed much of a change beyond that. I decided to try something new and do more digital art, but I also do traditional art. Coloring for both media have improved.

Say hello to your god, Proko.

Guy has only 7000 subscribers but he is more helpful than like 70% of dA's anatomy tutorials.
