In 1994, she was born in Poseidonis.
She and Garth studied witchcraft together in the same class at the Conservatory of Witchcraft.
In 2008, Poseidonis was attacked by Ocean-Master, who defeated Aquaman. With their king downcast, Garth and Tula attacked the villain but were easily defeated. However, their actions gave Aquaman enough time to recover and finally defeat Ocean-Master. Impressed by their bravery, Aquaman offered the two young students the opportunity to become his protégé. Garth accepted and became Aqualad; Tula continued her studies at the Conservatory and also started dating La'gaan.
On August 27, 2010, she sees Aqualad again and tells him about her relationship with La'gaan.
On July 14, 2011, having completed her studies, she joined Robin's team with La'gaan, taking the name of Aquagirl.
On September 19, 2016, she took part in the 3rd Teen Titans party.
On January 13, 2017, with Lagoon Boy, she saves a yacht against pirates.
