Description
This scene is a collection of stuff I have made to contribute towards Fallout Project. With help from myself, and we are creating a few Fallout inspired scenes.Everything here was modelled by me except the gun on the table, which is "ThatGun" modelled by
I will be getting more stuff from both and and will add them to the scene.

Excellent work on this, great attention to detail. Easily recognizable as a fallout inspired piece by anyone of whom has played the game.
The Nuka-Cola Quantum is a nice touch.
The only thing I would critique is the lighting,
as the inside does not seem to match up to the only light source which is the exterior daylight coming through the boarded up windows.
Other than that, very well done.
I beat Fallout 3 and I am now playing New Vegas, great games.

Thanks for the input.. I will have to keep working on lighting. This was the best I could get it without it being too dark

Pretty cool looking set.
Its one thing the digital art world needs a lot more of, is more things that would fit into the Fallout game world or general post apocalyptic one at least.

Very nice work. I like the brightness. Maybe you should render the final scene.

I just have to throw this out there because I know nobody else will catch it, but Nuka Cola Quantum was only in Fallout 3 since the Nuka Cola corporation was still testing how Quantum and how it would sell in DC.
Otherwise this looks great, but you might want to change the shade of the ammunition boxes to more of an olive green colour. Those are just a couple suggestions.

Thanks for the pointers. I keep meaning to change the ammo box..
Although Quantum wasn't in the New vegas game it had been created by that time so it is therefore possible that someone could have been to DC and brought one back.

Or change it orange and it could be Nuka-Cola Victory.

Lol! I posted that right when I found a Nuka-Cola Victory in the game and then after I had posted it I grabbed the Victory only to find a Nuka-Cola Quartz behind it.

It gives of kind of a white/greenish light.
Drinking it will give you Low Light Vision, DT +4, HP +6(20s) and Rads +6
In this game Iβm playing now I only have the one bottle right now (in Vault 3), but I may of missed some.

Youβre welcome.
Hopefully one day soon, Iβll be able to figure out some modeling programs (Hexagon, Wings, amongst others) and give a try at making some Fallout based props or sets myself. There is just so much that could be done its amazing that there is so little that actually has been made.

Well, I'll admit that's entirely possible, and it would explain why I can never find all of those damn things in Fo3. Not even guides could help with that.

I usually create a bump map and somtimes a spec map in PS but other than that I just plug them straight in.. no fancy shaders.

After we have created the final scene I will probably start working on releasing the items I made.
It will be set up for Poser but I usually include Obj. So it can be used in other programs

I am currently working on the rundown bar building, which will hopefully be released sometime this month. most of this shack is already modelled, so it should also be sometime near the end of this month.
This is my plan but the summer is busy with life stuff LOL

Looks really nice, but is it just me, or does the scene lack ambient occlusion or some kind of dark shading/soft shadows under the objects (for example under the bed or the stove)?
π: 0 β©: 1
RetroDevil In reply to xQUATROx [2011-08-02 21:49:13 +0000 UTC]
Thank you
There is ambient occlusion in the scene..I think I have overdone it on the brightness in photoshop though. I was trying to make it clearer as this render is mean't to show off the props.
I will try and use better ambient occlusion on the final render
Thanks
