So sad this video game is by far not only one of the most overlooked NES gems, but one of the most under appreciated games of all time! StarTropics definitely is one of the best NES games I've ever played. Sure its grid-based movement might be tough to adapt to at first, but this colorful game offers a solid difficulty, great dungeons, unique characters, and is overall a revolutionary title. Dipping the packaged note into the water is so much more awesome and creative, then say Metal Gear Solid's "back of the package" Codec number, although I think there should've been in-game alternatives for both cases. I guess you could say that this game is pure RADICOLA! Oh, and you can take those bananas out of your ears now.

One of my favorite games ever, if not my absolute favorite. I own this and the sequel on cartridges and have it on my GBA/DS flash card. Really good take on your character!

Startropics was one of my favorite games.

Nice reference here.

Where's the banana?

Really cool, it gives the same kind of feeling (I instantly recognised it!)

That's great that you knew right away what shot it was from. Damn that was a good game.

For this one I took a screen capture of "Star Tropics" and just did an edit in photoshop on the pixel level to make it look like me. Really though you could use any paint program you want. Then I added some fake scan lines (just black lines one pixel apart with a 50% opacity) to make it look like it's on an old TV.
