Description A speedpaint of a screencap I found online, about 2 hours. Messy but really relaxing to do!
Criticism is very very welcome, but i'm guessing it's too rough to be critiqued..

I want to get better at doing landscapes in general uvu

Is it bad that I just knew it was Skyrim without even looking at the title?

This is beautiful! Β And don't worry about the roughness, it makes it very painterly. Β Not everything needs to be perfectly polished. Β Maybe having a focus point be more polished and then loosening up as you move away from that would be interesting. Β For example, have a mudcrab on the bank, make everything tighter around that, and then keep everything else "out of focus". Β That would be fantastic. Β

Oh thank you so much! And thank you for the suggestion, that sounds like an extremely fantastic idea! c: I should try pulling that off when I have the time, maybe even use a mudcrab as the subject because I just love the idea. (~those little guys need a bit of love too ovo~)

ah awesome colours! I don't know shit about landscape painting but to create more depth I think you could make the background trees bluer? or at least lighter and more desaturated to push them further back and to bring the trees in the fore/middleground closer.Β
it's nice seeing more paintings though! Β c:

Thank you! Ooh, you're right. I thought the painting looked flat and tried to saturate the foreground trees more but they just ended up unrealistically bright haha. I should remember to make the stuff in the back more low-key in the future! thanks so much again girl! <33
