Next character study! This time it's Halo's husband, Zenith, the elder of the Bertier twins.

The two larger pictures came out the best again. The larger one of him standing looks like...you know, the guy I based him off of...yeah, that idiot who plays piano and his name begins with "A" Yeah, it looks a lot like that guy's portrait.

Actually, if you lay this one on top of Halo's in MSPaint with transparency on, you'll see all of the figures line up for the most part XP

Okay, so, here we go.

Top left, either Zenith's got a headache, or he's listened to Nadir ranting for too long XD He almost looks like he's in pain, poor baby.

Bottom left, now it looks like Nadir has him going, "wtf?" I dunno, somehow I see Nadir as responsible for most of Zenith's reactions here XD

Top center; just a little picture of him that's like, *sigh* "What now?" That's his, "not-amused" face.

Bottom center; Zenith looking cool! Big problem here are his shoes. I screwed up inking them and the only solution to the problem was to color his shoes black. They're red with a grey stripe down the center and two black cords criss-crossing over them. Never use this picture as a reference for his shoes. Other than that, I love that shot <3 Captures Zenith's personality the best I think.

Okay, now for the right three shots, the ones that actually had time put into them.

The picture of his eye leaves much to be desired. When I do Nadir's he'll have more of an angry look to his. The iris is a bit crooked and the brow should be lower.

Now that larger shot above the bust...like I said, it looks most like the pin-head in my top featured deviation. Coincidence? Maybe. Zenith is Aranelion's anti-form after all, and Aranelion was based off of A-head...so, Zenith is based on the idiot's "dark" side. Anyway I can't say I'm surprised at how it came out.

Same thing with Halo's picture in this position. It's a look Zenith would probably only give Halo...doesn't necessarily have to before intimacy either.

Finally, the bust shot on the bottom right. Doesn't look as much like Zenith as the other shots...makes him look more anthro-y in my opinion. It's probably the most relaxed he can look.

Anyway, I will now tell all of you why Zenith wears his wedding ring on a necklace.

The story always goes that he and Nadir stole the wedding rings so Zenith and Halo could get married. However, when it came time for the ceremony, only Halo's ring would fit. The ring they stole for Zenith was too tight and couldn't make it over the second knuckle. The solution? Wear it on a black cord as a necklace and never take it off.

And that, my friends, is why his wedding ring is on a black cord around his neck <3 Poor baby. They didn't have enough time to check sizes as they fled the scene. At least they got Halo's right XD

Anyway, much love for Zenith <3 He doesn't mind stealing to stay alive, but has great disdain for all crime, especially rape and murder. One reason he wants Halo to stay with them when they first meet is so he and Nadir can protect her if somebody were to try and hurt her.

Then a few years later he tells her he loves her <3 Zenith is so precious <3333

In WoLaD, it's Zenith, spurred on by the desire to rescue his parents, that convinces his group to help Shadow. Because he is the eldest twin, he feels it's his responsibility to watch over Halo, Nadir, and Grace. Though his anger can burn fiercely, underneath it, he is very sensitive, hungers for romance, and wants a better life for his family.

Next character study will probably be Nadir, or possibly one of the UnElementals
