Description
Two new characters I created around the same time several months ago

We've got Diablos of the Void, on the left, and on the right we've got Zero of Absence.

Diablos is a butterfly and Zero is an echidna, and they're both Guardians.

Back story!

Diablos was originally a Light Guardian in Beledin's order. He awoke with all of the others in the center of the universe. However, shortly after all of them left that kingdom, Diablos began to feel conflicted. He was the Guardian of the Void, something that no longer existed within the universe of Light and Darkness. He didn't feel like he should be a Light Guardian, or a Dark Guardian, for that reason.

He, like his counter Penumbra, became a Rogue. However it is unclear whether Penumbra was a Rogue from the beginning, or was a fallen Guardian like Diablos, a Dark one perhaps.

Diablos wandered the universe like any Rogue. One day he came back to the Light Kingdom, which had been abandoned for eons by this point. Bolero of Space, who had lived there for several thousand years, had left by now, and so Diablos took up living there.

One day when Bolero returns for a moment to think, Diablos fights him back, not wanting to be bothered. Sith shows up and they fight together. Later, Omega and Akeme arrive. Omega takes Bolero away, while Diablos spits some mean words at Akeme and Sith. Diablos defends Kyoushiro and mocks Akeme for thinking he could ever save Deannalee. Just as he's about to throw Sith into the void, Kephalos shows up and captures him.

He almost immediately lets Diablos go, warning him not to cause trouble. Moments later, Kyoushiro comes and he and another rogue named Hollow conspire to break Deannalee by capturing her friend Amahita, and getting her pregnant.

Thing about that is Amahita is very unique. Because of how she was created, she is pretty much a child in an adult's body, and can only speak in mews, like a kitten. Diablos is the one pinned to perform the unholy deed, and he goes along with it to start, pissed off at Akeme for before.

However when he meets Amahita he finds he can't go forward with it. The one thing he's ever trusted in his life was innocence, since that's what the void is made of...innocence, a lack of something, like innocence is a lack of knowing or liability.

Hollow helps him cover it up, and Diablos leaves the center of the universe, trying to stay hidden. He doesn't show up again until Zero appears.

Zero is the Guardian of Absence, and is the counter to Omega. His story is...very long and intricate. He has a younger brother, named Zardaz, and something that happens to him in the beginning of his life is what sets the tone for the lives of so many others for ages to come.

He is one of the Guardians that is awake before all of the others. He spots Athena while she is out walking in the Light Kingdom, a time before any of the others are awake. He immediately desires her and makes an advance, but she shuts him down, not wanting to risk her power becoming corrupted, and she seals herself away.

Enraged, Zero vows to do whatever he can to draw her back out, and goes about trying to wreak as much havoc as he can. It's impossible to know everything he's done, since he's done so much, and because he has the power to erase memories, even souls.

Among the list of things he's done include corrupting Mukot, influencing the Rogue that raped Persephone, corrupting Beledin, and recruiting and using his own brother in his plans.

Corrupting Mukot led to the deaths of Nienor, Medula, and Niena, the latter two he never meant to cause, as he desired their power. Corrupting that rogue that raped Persephone led to her corruption, and along with Mukot's, led to Agatha being tortured in unspeakable ways, and the shattering of their order. Persephone's corruption of the males is what led to the rapes of several other women. Persephone's rape also led to the death of Bahamut of Aura, and the unborn baby he had with Nienor.

Corrupting Beledin is what allowed for Mukot to kill Diana, the Patience Guardian. It led to the deaths of Ratar and a handful of Light Guardians. It also led to him kidnapping Ayumi and using her as a bargaining chip with the Rogues to obtain immunity for himself from their mayhem. Zero recruited Zardaz to be the ring leader of this.

Not to mention corrupting Mukot is what caused the Wars of Light and Darkness to begin with.

Yeah...Zero was the one who pretty much caused ALL of the tragedies.

He was also the one to corrupt Penumbra, but we'll get back to that. Regardless, he can simply erase memories so nobody ever remembers him, leading them to think they acted of their own free will, but confused as to why.

Zero stays in hiding. The only people who really know about him are Zardaz and Athena, because they're the only ones whose memories he never erased. Omega also knows about him, since they counter each other.

One day however, things change. Medula and Niena are both resurrected, and he uses Penumbra to try and get them. He uses Penumbra to try and get Medula by corrupting him and trying to force him to switch dimensions around, so Medula will be unbound from Kyosho and available for Zero to take. Penumbra is discovered and imprisoned, leaving Zero back at square one. Forgetting about Athena for the moment, he hungers for Niena and Medula's power.

...funny thing is he totally did nothing when his brother Zardaz was killed by Lormin. X_X

After appearing to people several times, Zero fears getting caught, so he goes to look for someone to host a small part of his power in case it is taken from him. This is when he crosses paths with Diablos, putting that power in him during a fight. Zero is then imprisoned. Diablos goes back, trying to recover his reputation, and his reunited with Amahita.

Zero is stripped of his power, but tries in vain to draw out Athena once more, accessing the power he planted in Diablos, threatening to use Athena to corrupt everyone, and her ability to re-weave creation to give him control over everything. Diablos, who met Athena a few times while he lived in the Kingdom of Light, wants to prove that would never happen, so he leaves to get her. Though he promised never to reveal her location, he tells her how desperate things have gotten. Feeling partially responsible for Zero's behavior, she comes and reprimands him, crushing any hopes he had for taking her.

She eventually falls in love with Kephalos, but before that happens, Zero finds renewed purpose. Kephalos' counter, Amadi, who is essentially the devil, takes him, and asks him if he would provide her with a child, one she can use to get an edge over Kephalos. He agrees. Finally freed from being imprisoned, it seems Zero's finally found a place to be, somebody with a wicked mind that thinks just like his.

Waiting for the birth of their son, Zero's found himself growing close to Amadi. He's reunited with his brother Zardaz in hell, but after the initial happy reunion is over, there's a bit of a divide between them. Having spent a good while in Tartarus, the deepest pit of hell, and remembering that Zero had abandoned him, compounded with seeing Zero so close to Amadi and pretty much worshiping her, has left Zardaz' opinion of him a bit sour.

As for Diablos he's been happier as of late, and has decided to resume being known as a Light Guardian. He has sort of adopted Amahita, loving her like a little sister, and goes with her everywhere. He doesn't have a lover or anything, and devotes all of his time to her.

Diablos was rather bitter after being alone for so long, but looking after Amahita has given him renewed purpose in life. He's a tough fighter, and would defend anything innocent with his life. Obviously, he is closest to children, and anyone child-like, like Amahita, and even Medula and Niena. For this reason he'd no doubt love children of his own someday, but is content to looking after Amahita for the time being. He's gotten close to Deannalee and Akeme, and likes to check up on Chieko whenever he can.

Zero is just...the epitome of evil. Underneath his middle bang is a third-eye that used to be the source of all of his power before his element was taken. When he fights he can summon weapons, and the larger the weapon is, the greater his rage. As the Guardian of Absence he had the power to erase memories, and even entire souls, which is how he was able to cause all of those problems and never have to take responsibility for them. He's loyal to Amadi now, despite accusations of people that he's simply using her. He got Zardaz out of the deepest pits of hell and they've been reunited, but because he never saved Zardaz from being imprisoned then killed, there's a bit of rift between them.

Diablos is a butterfly, something you rarely see done for a male character. I love his wings but the scanner ruined the highlights in his hair, the orange bits, so I had to color them digitally. I know the pose of his clenched hand is weird don't remind me XP

Zero is a white echidna. ...Course he could also be like Athena and I don't know what species he is but I had it in my mind that he was an echidna. He kept looking like Riku from Kingdom Hearts to me. This was unintentional >.> He has a third eye underneath his middle bang but since his element was stolen from him he has little need for it now. What power he has left remains in it though. If you were to stab it you would cripple him severely. It's his weak point so he keeps it hidden. Zero and Zardaz, it should be noted, are both Rogues from the time of their creation. Zero is of course the older of the brothers.
