Continuing with my series of Guardians representing the Seven Deadly Sins and the Seven Heavenly Virtues. Next up are Cain of Envy and Ariadne of Kindness.

Tee hee, I love this...having Guardians based on the Seven Deadly Sins and the Seven Heavenly Virtues. Coolest idea ever <3

Anyway XD

First up is Cain. He's a lynx, and he has green eyes. Significance behind that? Ever heard of the Green Eyed Monster? Yeah. That's what we all become when we get jealous of others, hence, he has green eyes.

Cain embodies the Deadly sin of Envy, or jealousy. He was a faithful follower of Omega and Medula, but when Mukot killed Medula and blamed Omega, Cain rallied to Mukot's side along with the others, while Sith, Bolero, and Agatha refused. Nobody was stupid enough to bother Sith, and Bolero was long gone by the time this happened. When Mukot decided to punish the rebellious Agatha, he did it in the worst way possible.

Persephone used her influence over Lust to cause all of the male Guardians left, except for Serpent and Sith who were immune to her control, and Bolero who was gone, and Mukot who only ever laid with Persephone, to violently attack and rape Agatha, the Guardian of Chastity, destroying her purity. This went on for weeks and weeks, and yet, Cain, despite being spurred on by Persephone, would not touch her.

The reason? His jealousy of the others prevented him from sharing Agatha with them. He all but refused to touch her. Mukot let him go, since he knew it was useless to challenge Cain's alignment to envy.

After Agatha is cast away, Cain sticks with Mukot's new order. Persephone has her way with all of the males at this point, being the only female left, since she drove away the other female Guardians. Cain will lay with her from time to time, but only if she comes to him, where he lives far away from the others. If he thinks about the fact that he's having to share her with the others, it is enough to drive him insane.

Fast forward to the present day. Persephone's control has made the male Guardians left constantly lusting for sex, and Cain is no different. He happens across a girl named Arisu, and starts to rape her, still under the lingering effects of Persephone's spell. The sitting leader in Mukot's stead, Orpheous, the Guardian of Reality and Illusion, comes and holds her down while Cain has his way with her.

Before Orpheous can have his turn, Sith shows up and kills Orpheous. Cain has fled by this point, because the male Guardians had been looking for Persephone, since she had abandoned them, and having any sort of sex would help them pinpoint her location. Cain, however, doesn't go after her.

Although the spell should have kept him lusting for more and more sex, Persephone is pregnant at this point, and her control has weakened. Cain takes an interest in Arisu, not wanting her to be taken by anyone else. He tells her if he can't have her no one will.

Arisu's kidnapped and is being attacked. Before things can get worse, Agatha arrives, having been called upon by Cain, who she felt gratitude towards for sparing her millions of years before. Her return with her control over Chastity, and the return of the other female Guardians, destroys Persephone's spell over them completely.

Cain returns to his usual self, and sticks with Arisu, even though she is wary of him. He tries his best to comfort her, feeling awful about what he's done, angry at himself for it, despite not having any control. When it turns out Arisu is pregnant Cain tries even harder to reach her. Slowly they get close, and Cain admits he loves her. Now they have a daughter named Emerald, for the green eyes she inherited from her father.

Happy as they are now Cain will carry what he did with him for the rest of his life. He knows he had no control over it, but, he won't stop trying to make it up to her.

Cain is pretty laid back and calm. If you provoke his alignment to Envy, however, he can get quite nasty and fiercely protective of what belongs to him. So, don't mess with Arisu or Emerald, lol. He fights with a long sword.

Tidbit on his name. I chose Cain because in the Bible there's the story of the brothers Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel because he was jealous of him. Fits Envy perfectly doesn't it?

And now for Ariadne, Guardian of Kindness.

Kindness is the Virtue that balances the Sin of Envy, just like Chastity balances Lust.

Ariadne is a snow leopard, well, she's supposed to be XD Maybe just a regular leopard, either or. Her name is pronounced Air-ree-odd-nee.

Ariadne is a Light Guardian. She lived in the Temple of Virtue with the other Five Virtues (Agatha was the only one not present. She too was meant to be a Light Guardian but became part of a Dark Guardian order since she stayed with her sister Persephone). Ariadne was always closest to Edmund, the only male Virtue.

Another tidbit. Edmund is the only male Virtue and Persephone is the only female Sin XP

Ariadne's story gets started in the present. Up until recently she lived in the Temple with the Five Virtues. It was a peaceful existence, until awhile back when Mukot, the Guardian of Wrath, trying to stamp out any opposition he may have, came and killed the Guardian of Patience, who balanced his Wrath.

Though this was a tragedy it wasn't a dire problem until recently.

Beledin, the leader of the order of Light Guardians, recently began to rage around. Ratar and some of the other Light Guardians were told to kill Kalak's two children, Arandor and Clarissa. Instead of doing this, they lied and said they did and tried to keep them hidden. Beledin found out and has lost control, hungry for power. He killed Ratar's son Lormin, and is hunting down the resistance of Light Guardians to punish them.

His power is unmatched, except by one thing; the Seven Guardians of the Heavenly Virtues.

Though his power is unmatched, one check was put in place in case he ever decided to abuse that power, as he is now. The Seven Guardians of the Heavenly Virtues can come together and seal him away for good. This is their last hope of stopping him.

The problem? The Guardian of Patience has been killed. Now only Six of them remain, and this is not enough to stop Beledin.

The Guardian of Patience must be the child of one of the other Virtues, one of the women. Beledin knows this, and so he began to hunt them down. Edmund and Ariadne fled, while the Guardians of Humility, Temperance, and Charity sealed themselves away to protect themselves from Beledin. Only Agatha and Ariadne remained.

Agatha is being courted by the leader of another order of Light Guardians, Kiyoshi. Knowing this Ariadne, and Edmund, the Guardian of Diligence, decided perhaps it would be best to let her be courted and the two of them have a one night stand to produce the next Guardian of Patience. They are friends but they aren't exactly in love, and are more like brother and sister, so it was a difficult decision for them to make.

Kiyoshi asks Ariadne to wait and give it some time. Time is something they have little of, as Ratar and the resistance struggle to hold Beledin off, but she agrees. She goes to visit Persephone, Agatha, and Medula, and while she is there another Guardian named Black suggests they go meet a rogue Guardian named Develon. Kyosho has his doubts, but they go anyway.

You wouldn't think it but Develon took an interest in Ariadne, and so she's stayed with him. Despite everything going on, she's remained optimistic.

However, once the Guardian of Patience is born, however she comes, they can't spare a moment to seal away Beledin. If he isn't stopped he's liable to destroy his entire order...

Ariadne is light-hearted and happy. She can be sweet but she is strong willed, which can be seen by her refusal to seal herself away with the other Virtues. Being the opposite of Envy, she is always concerned for others before herself, and is willing to do whatever she has to to protect people.

She's yet to encounter Cain directly, but is making a point not to, for she knows the Sins and Virtues may or may not come together happily; so far Agatha and Persephone have had no problem, but they awoke together, which might explain why, as they were the only pair of Sin and Virtue to do so.

...and yeah I totally typed that all up for Gem XD

But yeah...not TOO many complaints here. Cain looks fine except he looks like he's leaning to the right XD Ariadne...eh, I struggles with those spots of hers. I mean, they look okay but, then her hair doesn't have spots so I wonder if that looks right or not. I dunno. And God don't mention her hands to me please X_X
