Description "The Stories of Their Lives" Timeline
By: Jade Lightning, a.k.a. Inuyashas-hanyougirl

Timeline of events from Pre-Prologue to Post-Epilogue

“For the Love of Eternity” takes place over the course of several days in August.  As aforementioned, it will only focus on the families of Sonic and Blaze, though Blaze does not make an appearance, Shadow and Rouge, Knuckles and Amy, and Hidama and Delilah.  It is the children of Angel Island that must go rescue their parents from Team Maniacal, who plan to use the Guardian Brothers to take over the world.

At this point, Hidama is thirty-eight, Knuckles is thirty-six, Amy is thirty-four, and Sonic is thirty-five.  Rouge is the same age as Knuckles, and Shadow is of course immortal, making his age inconsequential.  The ages of the rest of the cast are not important, but can be easily worked out in relation to those I have named.

Mikomi is seventeen at this point but has his eighteenth birthday coming on October 12 of this year.  Kelsey has turned fifteen, and Aries has turned fourteen.  Pyro has had his tenth birthday just weeks before the start of this story.  Amberly turned seventeen in May of this year; Amarie, like her brother, has not had her birthday yet, making her twelve, although she will have her thirteenth birthday on September 1.

Again, you can work out the ages of the remaining children, but because they do not have roles in this story outside of the epilogue and the aftermath, they are again inconsequential.

One note I will make is that Herman Burns and the Maniacals have been planning their attack for several years, although the exact time when they again took interest in Angel Island is not certain.  However when Sir Burns spots the children in Station Square they were obviously finished with their preparations and were simply looking for some final confirmation of their suspicions before launching their attack.

“For the Love of Eternity” and the Years before the start of Part 7

August 11, 2000 – Part 6 opens up with a typical afternoon on Angel Island.  Kelsey is
practicing her archery and though discouraged by her meager skills,
her father Hidama is able to offer advice and encourage her to keep
practicing.  At the same time, Mikomi is growing increasingly
frustrated that he cannot wield the power of the Master Emerald when
he is already past the age of manhood, a time when he would become
the new Guardian.  Knuckles pleads for him to forget his concerns
about it and leave it to him and Hidama to deal with it.  Mikomi
agrees and then goes to Emerald lake with his cousin Kelsey and his
little sister Amarie.  That day, Hidama and Knuckles start to discuss
the Master Emerald’s fate again, realizing undoing it will be for the
best, but will also cost them their lives.

August 14, 2000 – A few days after the story begins, Amy and Delilah announce they are
going on their bi-monthly trip to Station Square.  Mikomi and Kelsey,
as Elianaron predicted, are desperate to see the outside world, and
begin to plot how they can convince to their parents to let them
accompany Amy and Delilah.  They are able to convince Amy and
Delilah to let them come along, and even Hidama consents to let them
go, but asks that Amarie stay behind.

Those seeds of rebellion continue to bloom; Mikomi, Kelsey, and Amarie are devastated that Amarie is not allowed to come along.  They hatch a plan to bring Amarie to Station Square with them the next day, made possible after Amy and Delilah have to show them how to get off the island.  They tell Amy and Delilah they plan to go on a picnic on the other side of Angel Island, and buy supplies for it while they are out.  This picnic is simply their cover story.  They plan to return to Station Square with Amarie that next day.  At this point, the fires of rebellion are burning so strongly, they don’t care what the consequences for their actions may be.

August 15, 2000 – Using their day trip to the other side of Angel Island as a cover story,
Mikomi, Kelsey, and Amarie, leave the floating that was their prison,
and make their way to Station Square.  From the moment they enter
the city, they have many eyes on them, some curious, and others filled
malcontent.  One of those with negative intentions is Sir Burns.  He
spotted Amy and Delilah in the market yesterday, and by this point
became accustomed to seeing them every two weeks.  However, when
he spotted Mikomi and Kelsey with them, he was overjoyed, for he
finally was able to figure out the true identities of those who dwelt on
Angel Island.  As he follows them today, he learns there are indeed
two Guardian brothers that live.  He leaves as soon as he confirms this
and returns to his base in Emerald Hills.  He prepares to launch an
assault on Angel Island that night.

He leaves soon after Mikomi, Kelsey, and Amarie find Amy’s old apartment.  They find it abandoned and put up sale, ready to be demolished.  They also find the owner of the building, who recognizes them, correctly placing Amy Rose as Mikomi and Amarie’s mother.  He talks about how he misses his former tenant, and how business went down hill as better properties sprung up further down the coast.  He agrees to let them see Amy’s old apartment.  He reminisces about the days that Knuckles spent with her, and warns the children that people might be planning to attack Angel Island for the Master Emerald and asks they warn Knuckles of this danger.  He also asks them to be careful while in the city, and to bring their mother and family to visit in the future.

After the kids leave, they do a little shopping and grab milkshakes before sunset comes.  As they are planning to leave, they take a walk on the boardwalk.  While Mikomi and Kelsey use the restroom, a group of teenagers begin to beat up Amarie.  Mikomi attacks them in a violent rage, and it takes Kelsey jumping on him to the stop the bloodshed.  Adults come to take the teenagers to safety.  After Kelsey uses first aid to take of Mikomi and Amarie’s injuries, they walk on the beach until they hear a mob of people coming to arrest them, and possibly kill them.  They hide under the boardwalk, wanting nothing more than to go home; as night falls, they fall asleep.

On Angel Island, their parents are searching for them frantically.  Hidama finally has a vision and realizes they are not on the island, and works out how and why they came to be in Station Square.  He and Knuckles are ready to go find them, but see two airplanes getting ready to land on the island.  They immediately run for the Master Emerald’s altar.

Amy and Delilah return there first, in just enough time for Sir Burns and his group of Maniacals to arrive there.  Amy and Delilah make a stand to defend it, but Sir Burns breaks them down by making them think he kidnapped their children.  Delilah, however, finds courage enough to shoot a Maniacal, killing him instantly.  Sir Burns is ready to strangle her, but Hidama and Knuckles return before he can do so.  He has Amy and Delilah taken to one of the planes, and then launches an attack to bring down Hidama and Knuckles.  He finally overpowers them, but before Hidama succumbs to paralysis powder he and Knuckles are blasted with, he uses his telepathy to send a plea to Shadow the Hedgehog, one of the few people he knows that can also speak telepathically.

Hidama is soon overcome.  The Maniacals set fire to the island, taking Hidama, Knuckles and the Master Emerald to their airplanes.  They flee to their headquarters in Thundercrash Bay, a small inland sea to the west of Embala Bay, south of the town of Rockcreek Plains.  Angel Island crashes to the ground and is destroyed.

Shadow is awakened by Hidama’s prayer, and leaves for Angel Island late that night with Rouge and Amberly.

August 16, 2000 – Morning comes and Mikomi, Kelsey, and Amarie emerge from under the boardwalk, ready to go home before too many humans are awake to see them.  They finally see the ruins of Angel Island on the ground and are devastated.  They return to the island to see what they can find out.  They discover the Master Emerald is missing and that the bodies of their parents are not among the wreckage.  Mikomi works out that whoever took the Master Emerald needed Knuckles and Hidama to use it, and also kidnapped Amy and Delilah for whatever reason.  After finding a few of their belongings, including Amarie’s hammer and Hidama’s Guardian Bow and Arrows, as Kelsey cannot find her own, Mikomi firmly resolves that they must rescue their parents.  His encounters with humans have left him with a mindset of hatred towards their entire race, save Mr. Marks, who they now turn to for help.

Shortly after the three of them leave the ruins of Angel Island, Shadow, Rouge, and Amberly make their way to them.  Shadow now knows just how desperate Hidama’s situation is, but first directs Rouge and Amberly to Station Square, saying they must first find Hidama’s daughter, nephew, and niece, as Hidama begged him to.  They then make their way to Station Square.

Mr. Marks reveals to Mikomi, Kelsey, and Amarie that the Maniacals have been causing trouble for years throughout the continent.  He confesses he had ideas that they planned to attack Angel Island, but had no idea they’d attack so soon.  He pleads with Mikomi to direct his anger to them and not all humans, but doesn’t do much to crack the hatred in Mikomi’s heart.  Still, the hybrid echidna is grateful for all Mr. Marks has done and thanks him.  Mr. Marks provides them with provisions for their trip and directs them to Emerald Hills, where authorities have traced one of the bases of Team Maniacal, as a place to begin their search.  They leave for the train.

On the way, they run into Amberly.  She’s immediately smitten with Mikomi, but Kelsey gets defensive and dissuades the bat hybrid from being flirtatious.  She reveals she is a hybrid, and at this point Shadow and Rouge find her, and thus the other three, completing Shadow’s search.  After revealing his ties to Hidama, Knuckles, and their families, he decides he, Rouge, and Amberly will accompany Mikomi, Kelsey, and Amarie in the search.  They board the train together and head for Emerald Hills.

During that same day, in the Team Maniacal Headquarters at Thundercrash Bay, Amy and Delilah begin to break down, as they know nothing of the fate of their children of their husbands.  Sir Burns begins to torture the brothers, body, mind and soul, revealing that in order for his plan to work, he must bring them into complete submission so he may sap the Guardian Power from them.  He also reveals to Hidama and Knuckles that he did not really kidnap their children.

August 18, 2000 – It takes two days for the group to reach the secluded area of Emerald
Hills that is suspected to be home to a Team Maniacal base.  As they
travel, Shadow talks to Mikomi about his anger for the human race.
He tries to reason with Mikomi, but the echidna hybrid won’t forgive
them yet.  Meanwhile, Kelsey and Amberly still fight over Mikomi,
Kelsey untrusting of this flirtatious bat hybrid, and Amberly
wondering why Kelsey is so defensive of her cousin.

They arrive at the base.  Shadow takes out the guards at the entrance.  He and Rouge break into two groups, Mikomi and Kelsey coming with Shadow, and Amarie and Amberly going with Rouge.  As they storm the base, Mikomi and Kelsey admit that they need to try and make friends with Amberly, and they must be open to the world around them, something that is difficult to do as they remained confined to Angel Island all of their lives.

When they reach the aircraft hangar of this base, they see that every member left alive has escaped, accept for the leader of this base, a high ranking Maniacal member.  He is ready to flee, but decides to stay and confront them when he realizes the true nature of his enemy.  It turns out to be Mr. Rose.  He explains that he abandoned his wife and joined the Maniacals so he could get revenge over Knuckles for taking his daughter away from him, and punish Amy at the same time for defying him.  He shows clear disdain for all hybrids, mocking Shadow for mixing blood and “degrading” himself.  However, he aims all of his hatred at Mikomi and Amarie, his own grandchildren.

Mikomi is angered deeply and attacks Mr. Rose, in a blind rage, just as he attacked the humans on the boardwalk before.  Shadow manages to intercede, but Mikomi, though injured and against the pleas of Amberly, his sister, and cousin, he jumps back into the fray.  At last, Kelsey shoots Mr. Rose in the neck, killing him, and bringing the fight to an end, but only after he reveals the location of the Headquarters of Team Maniacal in Thundercrash Bay.

The anger in Mikomi’s heart only deepens, however Kelsey and Amberly have finally become friends, and this keeps Mikomi in high spirits.  As they head for Thundercrash Bay, Shadow sends words to Sonic, asking him to bring the chaos emeralds he has with him.  This will give them all seven chaos emeralds, the only force that can hope to counteract the Master Emerald should it be turned against them.  Sonic arrives that night, bringing the five chaos emeralds, and his daughter and son with him.

August 19, 2000 – In the early morning hours, the escaped members from the base in
Emerald Hills confirm that Mr. Rose has been murdered, and they flee
for Thundercrash Bay.  At the same time, Sir Burns returns to torture
Hidama more, as he has now separated the brother.  He finally breaks
Hidama down by making him watch Knuckles be electrocuted.
Hidama’s will is broken, and Sir Burns electrocutes him in the same
way.  Both brothers are carried off to holding tanks where they will
have their Guardian powers sapped from them, only made possible
now that they’ve had their spirits broken.

One of Sir Burns’ henchman informs him of the fate of the Emerald Hills base and Sir Burns figures out the identities of those who come to challenge him.  Amy and Delilah overhear this.  Amy is crushed at the fate of her father, who she still loved even after all that had happened.  They are happy to hear their children are safe, but cry out in terror when Sir Burns announces he plans to kill them when they arrive.  Delilah sees Hidama’s blood on Sir Burns’ uniform and realizes how little time they have left.  She begs for him to reconsider, telling him he has no chance at controlling the Master Emerald properly.  He brushes her off, and the entire gets ready for the arrival of this resistance, while Amy and Delilah can only cry helplessly.

As Shadow’s group walks together, they catch up on old times.  Amarie and Pyro have a rocky start, but once they make up they have the promise to begin strong friends.  Kelsey, Amberly, and Aries are having a great time, while Mikomi tries his best to remain optimistic.

That night, Aries and Pyro put on a pyrotechnics display.  While the children enjoy themselves, Shadow, Rouge, and Sonic discuss a plan of attack, for the will arrive at the base in Thundercrash Bay that following evening.

However, Mikomi cannot rest.  After the others have fallen asleep, he wonders how Hidama could find the strength to forgive the mutants for their sins.  He knows he must offer the same forgiveness to the humans, but does not think he can.  However, Mikomi begins to understand it was because the mutants had suffered the same, and it was all because of the Master Emerald.  Yet again, the powerful gem was responsible for all of this pain.  Mikomi begins to realize that the Master Emerald must be destroyed and wonders how he can do this, understanding that it alone is responsible for corrupting the hearts of all.  Though he is still worried, he is now able to forgive all those that have hurt him, and can focus on the events to come.

August 20, 2000 – Shadow’s group begins the last bit of their journey.  Pyro and Amarie
continue to bond; Amberly, Kelsey, and Aries continue to grow close,
and Sonic, Rouge and Shadow continue to reminisce about their lives.
Mikomi is trying his best to hide his fears and remain optimistic.
Shadow, Rouge, and Sonic notice Mikomi’s demeanor, and Shadow
explains to them the realization Mikomi has come to concerning the
fate of the Master Emerald.  However, no one wants to think about
what it’ll take to undo the Master Emerald, even though they all
realize now, with Mikomi unable to control it that the Master Emerald
                               will have to be undone.

As they approach Thundercrash Bay, Sir Burns takes Amy and Delilah to see how he plans to use the Master Emerald.  They are also shone Hidama and Knuckles, motionless in two capsules on the walls above them.  Delilah, though shaken, again protests, telling Sir Burns he simply cannot use the Master Emerald like this.  She begs him to stop his plans, warning that he’ll destroy the world and himself.  Again he ignores her and sends her and Amy to a control the overlooks the room where it will all take place.

Mikomi continues to hide his concerns.  With Thundercrash Bay below them, surrounding the base on three sides and the sea cliffs on the fourth, Shadow prepares the children, giving them one last boost of morale before the break into the base.  With alarms going off, they begin to attack the Maniacals, their plan being that if they have to, they will break up into three groups, using the chaos emeralds to track the Master Emerald and reunite at the end of it all.

Sonic is under attack, and Pyro and Amarie launch a joint attack called Fire Hammer to save him.  They then follow him through the base the rest of the way, him using his chaos emeralds to lead them.  A Maniacal separates Shadow and Rouge.  Shadow is soon swamped, and Mikomi and Aries come to help him.  She uses an attack called Guardian Fire, a fiery vortex, to save them.  They then use Shadow’s chaos emerald, and like Sonic, Pyro, and Amarie, make their way through the fortress.

Rouge, Kelsey, and Amberly are forced into the center of the fortress.  It opens up to the waters below, a drop of three stories, where the Maniacal kept their water craft parked.  A rail is all that separates them from falling.  Amberly and Kelsey decide to shoot propane tanks and a transformer to ignite an explosion.  Though Kelsey only has two arrows, the lessons her father taught her allow her to hit them both.  The explosions rocks the fortress.  Kelsey is pushed over the railing and is falling to the water below.  Amberly jumps to save her, and somehow manages to get her crippled wing, in just enough time to keep them from falling to their deaths.  Rouge catches up with them, and using her chaos emerald, they leave the port and head for the back of the fortress.

Sonic arrives at the final door first.  Pyro and Amarie have a tender moment when he helps her get comfortable as she tries to catch her breath.  Sonic can only smile, seeing himself and Amy finding resolution with each other in their children.  Shadow arrives and worries for Rouge, only to have Amberly fly into his arms.  Reunited, they face the final door, only to have it creak open before them.

As they walk into the room, Sonic senses no threat, while Shadow and Rouge are more cautious.  Amarie reveals to Pyro about her home being destroyed.  His heart is overflowing with concern, and when they finally spot Knuckles and Hidama in holding tanks on the walls, Pyro runs up to the Master Emerald and demands for whoever caused all the trouble to stand and fight.  Though his stand is brave, he is shot by a ray gun, taking him out of commission, and almost killing him as his body is overloaded with energy.  Sonic leaves him with Amarie and Aries, and he and Shadow go to confront Sir Burns, who now rides a platform down from the ceiling.

He taunts Mikomi and the others.  Mikomi responds by saying he plans to undo the Master Emerald.  Sonic and Shadow don’t understand his true intentions, but Sir Burns is scared by them, unsure of exactly what Mikomi is capable of.  He turns on the machine even as Mikomi and the others beg him not to.  He begins to draw power from Knuckles and Hidama, and the Master Emerald comes to life once more.  As Shadow and Sonic prepare to power up using the chaos emeralds, Sir Burns notices the Master Emerald cannot reach full power.  He spots the chaos emeralds and believes them to be the cause, when in reality Shadow believes it’s the little Guardian blood flowing through Mikomi that’s causing this.

They use the chaos emeralds to reach their super forms to take Sir Burns down, but before they can, he unleashes the power of the Master Emerald, believing his programs can control it, even after Delilah and all of him tried to explain you needed the experience of a Guardian to do this, as there was no other way.  As the computer equipment goes up in flames and the building quakes violently, Super Shadow and Super Sonic save Sir Burns from his own malfunctioning equipment.  They ask him to release Hidama and Knuckles, but he denies this, and flees with his final two henchmen, clinging to the hope that they’ll escape the destruction and rule whatever’s left of the world.

Rouge, Amberly, Kelsey, and Aries chase after them and go to find Amy and Delilah, while Super Shadow and Super Sonic try to free Knuckles and Hidama from their capsules.  The shatterproof glass can only be broken once they break the capsules free from the wall, allowing them to fall to the ground.  This frees the brothers from their prisons.  They then begin a desperate attempt to awaken them.  At the same time, Mikomi is approaching the dangerous Master Emerald.  He realizes he has enough Guardian blood to keep it from reaching full strength, and now believes only he can save his family, friends, and a world full of people, from death.

Rouge, the girls, and Amy and Delilah return.  Sir Burns and his henchmen are now tied up, and now everyone focuses their efforts on waking up Knuckles and Hidama.  Shadow now out of his super form, as is Sonic, realizes they have no time left, and must flee until they can wake up the brothers.  However, before they can leave, they see Mikomi standing right beside the Master Emerald.  Shadow tries to run to save him, but at the same time, the Master Emerald unleashes this deadly wave of power.  Knuckles and Hidama finally awaken, but not in enough time to stop the blast.  A blinding light consumes them.

At this point, Mikomi absorbs the entire wave of energy.  This ends his life, but renders the Master Emerald dead.  It is no longer a threat to the world.  His family and friends are devastated, but he comes back for a brief moment to say goodbye.  Pyro promises to take care of Amarie, and Kelsey, though broken, promises she won’t give up.  After Mikomi leaves, Shadow tries to console Knuckles, Hidama, and everyone by explaining that Mikomi finally realized what Hidama did that night as they fought Olermere, that it only takes the love of one, to undo the hatred of many.  Though they had to move on without Mikomi, they would do whatever they could to make sure his sacrifice wasn’t forgotten.

This is the end of Part 6.  The epilogue covers what happens between the end of this story and the beginning of Part 7, if in very general terms.  While some dates won’t be very specific, I’ll cover these years for you here.

August 24, 2000 – The group finally returns to Station Square with the dead Master
Emerald.  It doesn’t take long for everyone to learn about what Sir
Burns was trying to do.  He and his last two henchmen are put in
prison.  The citizens of Station Square are horrified to learn of the
sacrifice Mikomi made for them, even after they treated him cruelly.
Everyone now promises to do whatever they can to help the grieving
family.  Mr. Marks takes the first step by opening up his apartment
building to them, so that Hidama, Delilah, and Kelsey, and Knuckles,
Amy, and Amarie will have a place to live.  His building starts to get
more business in the process, which cuts any losses he would have
had, though it no longer matters much.  At the same time, Shadow,
Rouge, Sonic, and their children promised to stay long enough to help
them out with the daunting task of facing the ruins of Angel Island,
and as they continued to mourn Mikomi’s loss.

August 26, 2000 – After resting a few days, the group finally decides to  head for Angel
Island.  Preserved by good weather, they begin to salvage as much as
they can of their old life.  Knuckles and Hidama start to sort through
the remains of the echidna dead that were buried on the island.  They
manage to find the remains of their parents, preserved better than any
                               of them.  A large group of humans approach them and extend help;
scientist help sort the bones of the echidna dead, still others helped in
collecting them.  More humans began digging graves for them and
organizing a memorial graveyard for them in the place where Angel
Island now rested.  Other humans helped Mikomi’s family and friends
salvage what they could, including some of their precious belongings,
and though of Mikomi, that survived the fall.  During this time, Amy
finds a grey kitten they name Analia, or ‘Dear Hope’ in memory of
                               Mikomi.

This process takes several weeks.  A memorial is made in Station Square for Mikomi, and the dead Master Emerald is part of it.  During these weeks, friends of the family, the Brokenstars and the Prowers, finally arrived to offer consolation and help.  It was the first time the kids of these families had seen each other in years, and this tender time would bring them together in special ways.

Zachary Brokenstar, the son of Aranelion and Kelsey, would end up forming a relationship.  Jeremy Brokenstar, Elianaron’s son, would forge a bond with Amberly.  Oliver, Tails and Cream’s only son, would grow close to Aries.  And of course, Pyro and Amarie had already found their way into each other’s hearts, even at such a young age.

September 20, 2000 – Amarie’s thirteenth birthday has passed, and the excavation of
Angel Island is complete.  The entire town holds a funeral for
Mikomi, as well as the memory of the echidnas.  By this time, the
humans are crushed at how little they did to help, and how coldly
the treated Mikomi, Kelsey, and Amarie.  They’ve learned to love
those that walk beside them.  Mikomi’s actions not only saved
everyone, but brought them closer together, and taught them that
same lesson, how the love of one can heal the hatred of many.
After this, life must move on.

In the years following this, the families come together at least once a year around the anniversary of Mikomi’s death.  They’ve learned a little too late how important it is not to let their friendships die, however, it is the children that still live that will bind them together forever.

Before Sonic returns to Blaze’s dimension, his children wanting to spend more time with their friends, he entrusts the remaining five chaos emeralds to Hidama and Knuckles, the last remnants of their culture, the final thing left for them to guard.  Shadow and Rouge keep their two.  Amberly begins to spend more time with Jeremy.  Kelsey and Amarie start going to school in Station Square.  Aries and Pyro would stay with friends a lot, able to travel freely between dimensions.  There was nothing to keep this new circle of friends from staying together.

These years that they grow up don’t have much worth noting.  They basically build on their relationships until years later when the first union comes.  There is one thing to note however, and it concerns the birth of the final child of this generation.

May 19, 2005 – While Zachary and Kelsey are still in medical school, Aranelion and Camillia announce they are expecting a baby, a pregnancy they had infact planned on for many years.  Camillia wanted a baby right around the time Zachary was ready to move out.  He now shares an apartment with Jeremy, and so she feels this time has come.  On May 19, she and Aranelion welcome their daughter Airelea in the world.  She is named after his mother, Aerealei.  Jeremy has promised to one day have a son named for his grandfather Armundae, fulfilling a desire Aranelion and Elianaron had to have descendents named for each of their parents.  Though twenty years younger than him, Airelea and her brother Zachary will grow very close.  Obviously, Camillia’s pregnancy and Airelea’s birth were invaluable experience to both Zachary and Kelsey as they studied for their degrees.

April 9, 2006 – In Blaze’s galaxy, Aries is about to become the new Guardian of the Sol
Emeralds.  She and Oliver have had a slow relationship due to a four year
difference in age.  However, now that he is sixteen, Oliver wants to
cement their bond.  On the night of Aries’ ceremony, Oliver proposes to
her, and she accepts.  This is the first marriage of this generation, and it
will bring the families of Sonic and Tails together, the first important
bond in this growing family tree.

June 12, 2007 – At the ages of seventeen and twenty-one, Oliver and Aries respectively,
the couple are married in Blaze’s galaxy in the same traditions that her
mother and father were.  In the weeks after the wedding, Pyro moves
permanently to Station Square to be close to Amarie, getting his own
apartment down the street from hers.

The next marriage doesn’t happen immediately, even though the foundations for it are stronger than ever.  Zachary and Kelsey both share a love for children, and Kelsey is in college studying to be an Obstetrician, while Zachary studies to be a Pediatrician.  Amberly and Jeremy, who both have a while side and a zest for life, are working on their own careers, Jeremy becoming an auto-mechanic, while Amberly designs her own fashion line.  She does this while simultaneously going to college to become a Kindergarten teacher.

Zachary proposes to Kelsey after they graduate from medical school.  As a side note, they’ve been working on these degrees since they were sixteen.  Kelsey was two grade levels ahead of her peers after being homeschooled her entire life, and Zachary began working on his college degree at the same time Kelsey did, even as he completed high school.  This should help it makes sense, especially since they’re twenty-two by the time he proposes, in June of 2007.

Jeremy is ready to propose to Amberly as well, but fears what her father Shadow will think of his only little girl marrying a lowly auto mechanic.  Elianaron can empathize, as Hannah was also an only child, and Elianaron felt he hardly deserved a girl like her.  He encourages his son to take the old fashioned road, and so Jeremy asks Shadow for Amberly hand in marriage.  Shadow is impressed by Jeremy, and quickly wishes him well.  In the fall of 2007, Jeremy proposes to Amberly while they’re on a double date with Zachary and Kelsey.  She immediately accepts.

May 14, 2008 – Zachary and Kelsey, and Jeremy and Amberly are married in Starshine
Town in a double wedding, the grandness of which the town had not seen
since Aranelion and Camillia were married twenty-six years earlier.  At
the time, Zachary and Kelsey are twenty-three, Amberly is twenty-four,
and Jeremy is twenty-two.  At the wedding party, the final union is set
into motion when an eighteen-year-old Pyro proposes to Amarie.  She
accepts, she and Pyro having the strongest bond of any over them, for the
longest time; however, they decide to wait one year before the actual
                          ceremony will take place.

At this point, Zachary’s and Kelsey’s marriage brings Hidama into the House of Brokenstar.  It’s the first union of the House of the Guardian and the House of the Captains in whole of echidna history.  Jeremy’s marriage to Amberly links Shadow and Rouge with Hidama’s extended family, as Jeremy is Zachary’s cousin, bringing the first generation even closer together.  It will take just one more marriage, upon which any of them can trace a link to every one of their friends.

July 19, 2009 – With a month before the anniversary of Mikomi’s death, Pyro and
Amarie are wed.  With the union of Knuckles’ and Sonic’s bloodlines,
the family tree is complete.  However, there is one child of this
generation that remains, but will only get her chance when the events
of the following year take place, and a fallen soul comes back to help
his loved ones, and reunite with his true love.

Ten years will have passed before the events of Part 7, the last portion of “The Stories of Their Lives” takes place.  The final section of this timeline will cover “Until the End of Forever” and will briefly cover the years to follow.
