Yeah, I did the sketch before...and I promised I'd color it, so here ya go! Yeah...well, again, if you've been reading the fic, then you'd know this is the sword of Aranelion Brokenstar, (as if the time I submitted the sketch and the bold letters on this one didn't tell you already X3) Anywho, I cleaned up all my chicken scratch handwriting so if ya full view you can read the note his father left with the sword as he died from battle wounds, again, the night the echidna clan was dessimated.

But, to keep things interesting, I'm gonna provide a short preview of the up and coming follow-up about Hidama and the Brokenstar Twins...the one where Delilah and Camillia will come in as well. (It's after that one that Mikomi's story is told and this series finally ended X3) It revolves alot around his team he has with the Brokenstar Twins, called, "The Guardian Souls", so yeah, read on for it ^^

After their attackers finally fled, a bloodied and bruised Hidama and Elianaron turned to see their companion bent over on his hands and knees, his head hanging low, as his tears fell to the ground. As they ran to his side, it became all too clear what ailed Aranelion so, crying on the verge of throwing up. On the ground below him, his hot tears fell on the shards and hilt of his now shattered sword, Akrenar, given to him by his father in a farewell letter as he lay dying after fighting side by side with Hidama's father, the night of the attack on the echidna clan, as they tried to protect the Master Emerald.

Sick with grief, he rose as his partners sat beside him. Elianaron promised him their father's sword would be reforged anew, and all would be alright as before, and they would continue to fight. Out of love, Elianaron handed Twilight, one of his daggers, given to him by their father, to Aranelion; and as the world around them was enveloped by the quiet of the night, Elianaron and Hidama comforted Aranelion as they remembered the deaths of their kin; they were now that much more determined to avenge them.

As the twins slowly fell asleep, Hidama thought of his brother and nephew, and while the urge to set things right was great, Hidama was slowly being consumed by a growing misery in his heart, that if left ignored, threatened to consume his very soul, ripping him away from this world forever.

Mmm, so you thought Olermere's army was the last of it eh? Ha, not so lucky are we? Mmm, and besides, what about this "misery" clinging to Hidama's heart threatening to "rip him away from this world forever" if left unchecked? Mmm, makes you all the more interested in the sequal eh? Well, hope ya like!
