Consider this the beginning of chapter two. I'm not doing individual covers for each chapter but, eh, could be fun to split them up.
First of all, I'm sorry for the long delay to this page X_X I dunno I got busy with other things, both art and video games...this page sat like...two-thirds done literally besides the bottom two panels and I just...never went back to it. I've had a break between video games for a few days so I decided to finally finish this. I've really got no excuse I'm not "busy" the way Gem is so...I'm just lazy that's about all I can say.
Anyway the beginning of a new chapter in the story brings in a new face, and while he's not considered an antagonist, he's not exactly going to do much good for Deannalee, as Akeme is quick to point out. We've gotten to this point in WoLaD, so you should know what has happened here and a good amount of what will come. Basically Deannalee sees Kashkie and tries to flirt with him...keep in mind that how Kashkie comes to the village is a bit different than what I have drawn here but the outcome is still the same.
Kashkie is unfamiliar with the customs on Spirit Island, well, he knows as much as Shadow has told him. He's ready to deal with it by politely letting Deannalee down. What he is unaware of is how the rejection is going to work on her spirit. What is unfortunate is unbeknownst to any of them, there's an even darker and deadlier force lingering in wait to take advantage of all of the turmoil. Akeme, being a spirit, can sense it, but is unable to warn or protect Deannalee in any way.
All he can do...is watch. Watch helplessly as he continues to fall deeper and deeper in love with this girl.
Everything will slowly, ever slowly...begin to transcend.
Anyway hope you enjoy this page! I know I've been promising it to Demona909 for a very long time since it has her boy Kashkie in it lol Consider it a late birthday gift sis along with that doodle I did for you X3 Thank you for being patient with me <3
I'll try and get back to WoLaD too I just...I've honestly got no excuses T_T It's just a good thing I've got this entire comic planned out from beginning to ending.

That's also true.
See Mukot's darkness affects Casselina she has a point where she tries to break out of it but Teikaru comes down VERY hard on her...I'm sure it was more Amadi's evil that ensnared him, and as for why Kashkie and Renaldo do nothing those are good reasons, like Oblivion or Amadi and even Kyosho that's true.
I hate to use Kyosho though since Akeme's spirit was there just pining for Dee lol

Poor Akeme no wonder he comes so close to falling. Can see a page of him struggling with that. ...makes you wonder what keeps him from holding on perhaps because he knows Dee would be joining him soon even if in his heart he doesn't want her to die, he just wants her to be safe.

You could draw Kyosho like a memory faded on like a black background son Akeme at the side of the panel and Kyosho faded on the background all evil like while Aleme talks about it or realises its him
