Description Kalak stood facing his long-time enemy, putting himself between this foe, and his sons, Kashkie and Shadow. He stared at these new beings that now stood on either side of Mukot, the Master of Darkness.

One stood across from Shadow, and appeared to resemble the Dark Elemental as if he were a twin. His fur was grey, his hair and stripes shades of blue, his shoes and gloves colored black and red. The being that glared ominously at Kashkie however, did not look like the young Light Elemental in any way, but instead, echoed the appearance of one who died so long ago.

He took the guise of a hedgehog with brown fur. A tan stripe crowned his head, while two, long, bent quills extended from the sides of his head. A tan tuft of fur adorned his chest, the cuffs of his gloves golden, like hilts of a sword, from which long, silver blades extended, hugging his arms tightly. His shoes borrowed these colors, as well as sharp golden points, to complete his ensemble.

For those that stood before them, they were confused as to the true nature of these two, these new allies of their enemy and his cause. For Kalak, however, he was only too aware of who these creatures were, and, more importantly, whence they came.

Tears filled the eyes of Pure Light, and though he did not weep, he pointed a finger at Mukot and shouted, "How dare you heathen! How dare you! You create these loathesome creatures in mockery of my sons! You shall pay for this grieveance!"

To this, Mukot simply folded his arms across his chest and cackled softly, looking to his own sons once more. He finally spoke, without looking to those he addressed, as he said, "It is your lot that stands as a grieveance, my friend Kalak; one you call your son is merely a vessel for Arandor's soul until it can be reborn at the end of days. The other, is nothing but a failed attempt at glory on my behalf, one even I am shocked you would take under your wings. I have corrected my error, and from the perfect souls your supposed sons abandoned in favor of imperfection, I fashioned the UnElementals. They are without both Light and Darkness..."

Finally looking up at Kalak, Mukot grinned evilly and added in a whisper, "They should not even exist. Only because of the power of the perfect souls Arandor and Shadow cast aside was I able to breathe life into them that could be sustained. They cannot be killed. One wields the power of Perfect Darkness, the other, Perfect Light, and yet, it is not anything like what you and I wield my friend, for while they wield this power, they are at the same time, without it."

Kalak growled low, and muttered, "Tell me...is it because they came from Arandor's and Shadow's lost perfection that they were twisted into forms that mock them?"

Mukot laughed wildly, rising into the air with the UnElementals as he shouted, "You're a fool Kalak! I leave you with this! These new weapons to my cause are not in mockery of those weak examples of Light! They are simply what Arandor and Shadow could have been had they not sold themselves to imperfection!"

As the three enemies faded away, Kalak fell to his knees. He muttered, "Yea, Mukot would take said perfection and mold it into his idea of it. And yet...it is he who is unaware that this very imperfection he thinks will be my downfall, will be what seals his fate. ...Indeed, it is the pity of Kashoku, that will win the battle at last."

lawl, there's a sneak peek of WoLaD! You read it here first!

Anyway, here at last are characters you've heard me speak of several times, the UnDark and UnLight Elementals, UnDark is on the left and UnLight on the right.

Boy, they've got a lot of explaining. First of all, the prefix "un" when applied to the word, does not mean the opposite of the word, but rather the complete absence of it. UnLight does not mean the opposite of Light, Darkness, but instead means the complete lack of Light. The same goes for UnDark.

So while Mukot says they are without both Light and Darkness and their names simply come from the power they wield, he is actually withholding the truth from his audience.

Infact, UnDark Elemental, is a being without Darkness, and only has Light within him. UnLight lacks any Light and only possesses Darkness. Problem is, all life has both Light and Darkness, except these two, who only have one or the other, and hence, they should not exist. Only because of Mukot's terrible magic and Arandor's and Shadow's lost perfect souls are they able to exist.

So, how can beings without these Elements wield power of them stronger than Shadow or Kashkie can?

UnDark and UnLight, only possessing one of these Elements, can only be swayed in one direction. UnDark thus does not have Darkness that can be defeated easily by Light, and UnLight has no Light that Darkness can defeat. However, UnDark can still wield the terrible power of Darkness to fight off Light, and UnLight can still wield the strength of Light to destroy Darkness. UnDark's Light evenly matches enemy Light, and UnLight's Darkness evenly matches opposing Darkness.

They're immune to any threats in this way.

Mukot thinks that now not even the Son of Strength and Daughter of Light, their powers combined into the power of Pure Light can ever defeat these weapons of his, just like he believes he is immune to even Kalak.

But...you and I will just have to see if he's right or not.

As of now they simply go by the names of UnLight and UnDark. I didn't want to give them silly names that correspond to Light and Darkness. If I come up with something better, I'll let you know.

And yes, UnDark was made in mockery of Shadow, and UnLight to shun Arandor, no matter what Mukot says.

UnDark's special powers focus on pure brutality. He puts as much hurt and violence into his attacks as possible. UnLight has been given the powers of his creator Mukot, well, both of them were. UnDark received Mukot's brutality, and UnLight is a shapeshifter. He can turn into anything, just like Mukot. However, his one weakness is that his eye color, a piercing orange, cannot change with his form. UnDark's downfall is his self-image of himself being better than everyone, sometimes even better than UnLight, making it easy to gain the upper hand in battle all too frequently.

And thus, once again, it is exposed that Mukot's perception of both perfection and imperfection, are completely wrong. But that doesn't mean that he, and the UnElementals, will be easy to defeat.

Oh, these two characters look cool. I like Undark's color scheme, but I think I like Unlight better. His shape shifting powers are awesome and I love how his eyes can't change color. I also like the blades on his arms, I'd like to read how he is in action. Excellent job on this.
