Well, so much for posting every day, this one just took a while.Everyone seems to be following the prompt rather literally, but THIS IS THE MONTH OF HALLOWEEN!
The month of fears.
So why wouldn't they be frozen in terror as this member of the Choir clearly is when cornered by a Yahar'gul hunter?

Could be a man, could be a woman. Either way, the choir's worst nightmare has always been the Yahar'gul hunters.
Whether or not it's fear of a brutal death, or fear of being capture, we find the corpse of a Choir member greatly mummified in Yahar'gul itself, locked and strapped to a chair.

If I had to choose, I'd take a sword blade to the heart over the agonizing end that the choir members must have faced at the hands of the Yahar'gul hunters and Mensis scholars.
These were people who snuck into the night and kidnapped people to experiment on. Those experiments resulting in a ritual that either mummified the scholars, turned the citizens to stone and fused them to the walls of the village, and created abominations from the flesh of those unaffected. Werewolves you've previously been fighting throughout the game are replaced with ones made entirely of broken bones, rent flesh and signs of the tormented souls used to create it. A tail replaced with a single leg, rips jutting out in a horrendous mouth on the chest, the face of a person contorted to make a head.
And then there's the Caskets- masses of arms on sluggish bodies made of writhing faces that try to grab you and consume you, literally forcing you into their collective of madness they call a body.
And finally, the one reborn. An amalgam of bodies conjoined into one monstrous form towering over everything else you've ever seen. The very thing the Mensis Scholars toiled to make. Their idea image for humanities ascension into one living organism, but it is alive only in the sense it moves.
It's no wonder one of them defected. Antal would rather die by claw and teeth, mauled to death by a monstrous Skorge beasts than to face what his brothers sought.

I like how said galaxy far far away has parts of it that are just as awful.
But hey, at least plenty of planets to go to that don't have eldritch horrors.

Well. It is pretty good not gonna lie.
But I am gonna let you know. And I'm sure that I won't be the last. The theme was freeze. And yet you did not go with Irolith AKA one of the ONLY 3 ice thememed levels in all of Dark Souls. And also not gone with the pet giant sabertooth tiger with the damage zone of an oak tree. Or his 2 cousins in the hell that is the trip down a coffin. Which is some type of perfect symbolism because any idiotic nut who chooses to go in there is just gonna wind up being thrown back into that coffin not 10 minutes of walking around through there.

First of, Irolith isn't even a real place in Dark Souls.
Secondly, I wanted a different take on the concept of Freeze.
Thirdly, a future prompt is snow, so I'll draw some Ashes of Ariandel stuff then. Or maybe follow your suggestion and do a compilation of all frozen places/entities.

Dark Souls 2 then whatever! Point is there are only 3 levels that break the whole theme of fire and it is always welcome. Granted each one is just as f***ed up and horrible as everything else. But at least the basing over your head theme of FIRE is nowhere to be seen!
Yeah go for it. Have all the ice level bosses in 1 massive group shot. Priscilla in the back because she was the first. Sister Fria in the middle because she is the only 3 stage boss battle in all of Dark Souls with Father Ariendal at her left still spiked into his throne. The player boss being eaten by his f*** off wolf in the background. The Ivory King standing next to Sister Fria on her right. And the 3 f*** you cats at the bottom just cat napping.

The Shadows of Yharnam
1- three dudes
2- three dudes with snakes popping out
3- one dude who could summon Titanaboas
Rom
1- Big potato with mini potatoes
2- Potato shoots meteors and blows up
3- Potato thrashes about when pissed
Amygdala
1- Big spider
2- Big Spider that uses arcane attacks more frequent
3- Big Spider that rips its arms off and wields them
Queen Yharnam
1- Blood mage
2- Blood mage with dagger
3- Blood mage that makes dagger into a blood sword
And then DLC boss (cept the failures and Orphan) have three phases
Ludwig
1- goes ham
2- goes super ham
3- goes Swordsman
(technically 4)- Uses A big ass wave attack
Laurence
1- Burning Cleric Beast
2- Goes ham
3- Loses lower half and bleeds lava
Maria
1- Swordswoman
2- Bloody Swordswoman
3- Flaming Bloody Sworswoman
When it came to Dark Souls 3, most had two phases, but Friede and Gael broke the mold.
And then there's the Soul of Cinder with a grand total of
FIVE phases.

Oh no. I'm not talking phases. I'm talking the moment when the boss changes EVERYTHING about themselves which forces you to rethink your whole "plan" in order to not die. Phases are just a change in the bosses move set. They still have their heath where it is at but now do things differently. When a stage changes. The boss all of a sudden just becomes something completely different and you are not ready for it.
THAT. Is what Sister Fiede is. And also Ludwig. Ludwig's health remains the same. But the moment that moon light greatsword comes out. So does the old hunter. Sister Friede first goes Percillia with combos and using invisibility to throw you off. THEN Father Ariendail joins the fray and now you got 2 to deal with. One fast and damn near impossible to track & the other being a big roaming volcano in which if you don't pay attention will find yourself cooked before you can say "toasty". Then......oh then......comes Sister Friede The Ashen One. Non-stop combos, area of effect attacks that take up the whole arena, tracking that WILL hit you, and a super move that if you fail to doge at the right time. Death. Oh and she regains a full health bar each stage. Ah Fromsoft. They do hate the people who play their games don't they?
Gwen is just copying all the bosses from your path to him. Mostly The Lords of Cinder.
Laurence is a piece of shit that should have been made different given how "important" he is to this game.
