Finally finished it after several hours of several days.xDDD This is my half of the art trade I got with . I was SO honoured!!! ;u; I got the slot randomly through a number generator which I've like, never done before so I felt really, really lucky indeed. I asked for a picture of Michaela which is a shame 'cause I want to spice up her design a little now but oh well. C:ANYWAY!!! This is her newest OC, Cynthia! <3 It was a choice between her and Estelle... which was hard to make but Cynthia's design was just so gorgeous I couldn't resist! I don't know much about her personality (she is the mysterious type, after all) but I believe her to be quiet, hard to understand and very wise. I wanted the picture to kind of shower her in mystery and give off a really cool/cold vibe so I hope I did that. I don't know where I got the idea of her walking through water but I enjoyed doing that - the effect was fun~
I worked really hard on this so I'm actually very proud of it. ;u; I'm so happy with how it turned out... I think I could've done better on a couple of things but no picture's perfect. This is probably my favourite picture yet though so I'm over the moon! <333

Aww, I'm so happy you think so, Tori! ;v; I worked really hard on it so hearing that is a great surge of confidence! XDD I can understand that, I probably should've added shading to the sleeves to make it look more real. I'll keep that in mind next time~

The only thing I would say that stands out is the head looks a bit too big for the body (a problem I always have myself *sigh*) but... oh my gosh, wow this really is superb and you have every right to be proud of it. Well done, honey!!!

No, no you're quite right! I realized that only after it was done and then realized it'd take way too much time to edit it so I kept it.xDD But no, I did notice the head being a wee bit big. And thank you so much, I'm so glad you think so! ;v;

You use Photoshop don't you? What put me off it was not being able to play around with your lineart once you've brush-stroked your vectors, whereas with SAI, big heads aren't so much a problem because you can easily resize and modify your lineart at any stage while still keeping the pressure and with no loss of quality. You know, SAI makes me look way more skilled than I really am

The coloring looks really good, ESPECIALLY on the hair! It looks nice and shiny. Also the coloring and shading on the legs and midriff and chest parts of the outfit look awesome! One thing I would work on is flowier cloth around her legs. Although it's okay, try not to over blend. The shadows also don't seem to match up with the folds. Another thing I would focus on improving is the anatomy. Try looking at references for different parts. Of course you're allowed to have wiggle room, so the proportions don't have to be exact and are subject to your style.
Overall, this drawing looks awesome and you have reason to be proud! You have a unique style that is really fun and appealing to the eye. You've got a good understanding on how clothes should look (unlike me) and you drew them very well! The hair looks good and has movement, and you also seem to understand light and shadows pretty well. I don't normally give out long comments unless I feel like it's deserved by the hard work put into the picture. so good job! I'll be taking a look at the rest of your gallery and hope to see more from you

Wow, sorry I'm so late replying to this, lots of stuff came up so a lot of my replies are kinda late.xDD Anyway, with that being said... thank you so much!~ I put a lot of time into the shading (especially on the hair) so I'm glad it worked out. And yeah, I can see what you mean by overblending, I DO have a tendency to do that so it's always something I should keep in mind.xDD
Ahhhh, anatomy! Well I'm always trying to improve on it so I can understand that. Now that I look at the picture again, I can see a ton of mistakes.xDD Well there's no such thing as a perfect picture so I'll just have to keep the mistakes in mind for next time. C:

Niicee~You've managed to create an atmosphere of grace, mystique and magic quite well~ What I'd do as an extra, is increase the green-ish tones in the picture, and make the light from her hands reflect to some areas of her clothing
