Lord Fuse had already absorbed countless worlds into Planet Fuse by the time he learned of Earth in his millennia of existence. The planet’s unique history intrigued him, especially when he learned it was once the capital planet of the Great Evil that once ran across the universe. He fell not long before Fuse came into existence, but absorbing such a world would show the universe who would be the next Great Evil they would all need to fear!

It took him ten years before he finally arrived on Earth, though much had changed since his probes first discovered the world. Great champions had risen up to fight the forces of evil, both from their world and those who sought to invade it. This would prove to be a challenge for the ancient conqueror, especially once his presence was noticed on his way into the solar system. He wiped out the KND base on Luna, Earth’s moon, and moved in to absorb the planet when he encountered his first hurdle. The Champions of Earth are a lot more powerful than he originally thought. The terrafusers that landed were destroyed by the military or individuals of great strength, with more he launched being intercepted by the Powerpuff Girls and other flying champions, further angering the assimilator.

So, Fuse decided to start targeting the heroes and villains giving him the most trouble, even creating Fusion clones to battle them, but these imitations failed against their real counterparts. He tried to release some of the greatest villains these heroes had fought, beings that could rival the assimilator in strength, though the Dark Dragon was banished to the Null Void; The Ghost King waited on his throne; Vilgax was too busy conquering half the galaxy since Ben was preoccupied, and the Sorcerer of Norrisville wasn’t worth his time.

Then he started targeting the family, friends, and other loved ones of Earth’s champions. He killed a few but captured more to get the heroes to surrender personally. Among these included Professor Utonium, Rose Long, Jack Fenton, and Maddie Fenton, as well as over a dozen Necrofriggian adolescents he found in Earth’s atmosphere that matched the genetic signature of the Omnitrix. He held them in one of his strongest citadels and called for the surrender of Earth. Then the massive fist of Way Big smashed through his ceiling and slammed him into the ground. What followed was a battle of epic proportions that saw an all-out assault to finally end the year-long invasion of Earth.

Ben Tennyson even went Alien X to erase Lord Fuse from the universe but stopped upon realizing the worlds inside Planet Fuse were still alive. The planetary assimilator then fled to deep space, content to lick his wounds as he planned for his revenge.
