This pretty much makes me cry, it is so beautiful and coherent.

Lovely limited use of colour.

Thanks! It was a piece I worked on for a while, unsure where it was going - but it felt right when it got to this point.

Thank you very much - yes, I like how this one works myself. I saw those word strips and had to use them.

Thank you, GHC! Always a question with minimal pieces - are they too minimal? This one seemed to work.

minimal is always maximal sir

Great work as always! Love the foggy background with the blue peeping through. And those words are perfect together.

Thank you! You always give my work such a good looking at. I really appreciate it. And those words - each set of three found as is - aren't they amazing? "Titanium fog" is my favorite.

Your work always deserves a good looking at - so many layers and possible interpretations. It's like peering into a really interesting dream.
Titanium fog is wonderful! A treasure find indeed.

That jolt of blue. Amazing how much a single splat can do in terms of drawing the eye around.

RichardLeach In reply to LauraTringaliHolmes [2010-03-23 17:26:51 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. It's all that's left of a whole blue underlayer which wasn't happening - so I covered it up then peeled back a corner - and it seemed to work! I have the strangest methods...

TheCollagist [2010-03-23 10:32:12 +0000 UTC]

yes you're right, no need to add anything more. it just works, those words connected together and the title.. the intention is important..
the titles too ( made me think of a discussion i was having with a dA friend the other day about the importance of titles.)
i still think they are a part of the work.

good afternoon, dear, and thanks!

i saw a discussion with Tristan about titles - if that's the one - i said something to him too. i agree with you - part of the work.

If a piece works minimally it is best! No need to clutter it up. It is a lovely piece.
