The national extremes have no limit. Luckily, the nations do expire. And become new nations with a chance to screw up again from scratch.

Orange is the new orange.

Hey Ken! Thanks very much.
I have forgotten your schedule - where are you, if I may ask?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Crussol12 In reply to RichardLeach [2014-05-08 22:47:56 +0000 UTC]

 Of course you may ask.
We're in Seattle. I arrived April 1, with Osnat coming in a week later. We're still waiting for the shipping container with our household goods and most of our clothing to arrive. ETA in Seattle is now 22 of May. Sitting on the floor has grown old quickly. Cooking with one small skillet is wearing thin although both of us are doing some pretty ceative cooking. Until my PC arrives, I'm trying to keep up with the group using a tablet device but there are just some things I can't figure out how to do. Plus I can't touch type and the hunt-and-click method drives me crazy sometimes.
We are enjoying Seattle so far. People are friendly and proactively helpful. Our neighborhood of Queen Anne is residential with very colorful yards and gardens everywhere.
I found a place called the Pratt Fine Art Center and am already taking a course in monotype printing. My guess is that I'll end up collaging on them or with them but you never know.
How's by you? How's the hip coming along?

Ken

Thanks, Ken. A lot of that sounds just great, but I hear you about sitting on the floor and cooking with one small skillet. I have good friends who moved from Toronto to Geneva a few years ago, and the shipping container with most of their stuff took ever so long. Very cool about Pratt and the printing course.

I'm good and thanks very much for asking. Somewhere between six and seven months after the surgery - which is to say, in March or April - I said to myself, "Hey - I feel pretty good!" It took that long to really get normal strength and flexibility back, but they did come, and I can tell there is still improvement going on. My physical therapist said to give it a year. But I do a one mile walk every day or so and walking feels like a luxury rather than an effort. A nice feeling though I don't recommend the route I took to it!

We had a second grandson born on March 20, and our first grandson turned three a couple days ago. Going over to Stamford, CT tomorrow for a family party for him on Saturday. My other son and his wife are coming up from Virginia - I see them both pretty often but especially like having the whole family together.
