Description
Looking through the collage notebook I've kept for a few years, I found an unfinished piece which became this after small additions. Cardboard, masking tape and paper collage on notebook page.Related content

well, thank you very much! it's good to hear that a piece can spur thought.

when the differences come so much later, causality is often overlooked !

that is a very good point. we say "hindsight is 20-20" but sometimes people forget to look back!

or they just do want to see

that's very true. knowing what leads to what may imply responsibility people don't want to accept... and sometimes there's just nothing they can do about things... the question in the end is, is there a real future? or only more of the present.
i know, i've gotten very philosophical. always a lot on my mind in terms of politics and life and all. to answer my own question, i hope there is a future. about some things... my hope is low - higher about others.
end of essay!

i mostly understood and it sounds sort of familiar
(though my head turned now completely to cotton wool, flu-, sneezing-, running nose- and cough-wise).

i like the shapes of the cardboard... and those traces of green... and the message at the bottom (sounds like a positive difference ) but why did you hide Magic...

thanks very much, LΓΊcia
why did i hide Magic? i am honestly not sure!
maybe i meant that magic is often nearby but that we have to look for it a little bit?

there will always be things to be fixed and it makes a difference. big or not.
in the collages too. good you gave it another chance
i like how it seems to unfold neatly in both directions.

thanks, i like that unfolding too.
i took chances in the notebook that i don't do on stand-alone pieces... ended up with some good work and some big failures too. i think i should begin a new one.

it looks finished to me......there is a lot to like about this piece......& I can understand how just a slight bit of tighten can make all the difference in the world.......never over tweak

Thanks very much, Carlo. You are so right. One turn of the wrench too many and you strip the threads!
