Some sketches for a stupid Hobbit/HTTYD crossover I thought of a while ago. ;;>__>
Basically, what if Smaug was an alpha and used Erebor as his nesting site. Not long before the Quest starts, the Bardlings experience events strikingly similar to those of HTTYD1, so by the time the company has arrived Smaug is already dead and the men are learning to live with dragons instead of killing them.
I wanted to draw Bard with a Monstrous Nightmare, but I didn’t get around to it, because I’m unaccountably embarrassed about this AU. I’ve no idea why. It’s not the strangest I’ve ever come up with. ,’:\
In fact, I’m sure it’s got some potential. Mainly it’s the image of Thorin flipping his lid on finding the men of Laketown living it up with Dragons I like, but there’s also chaotic political possibilities, and a chance to have a story focussed on Bard’s family. (I found out recently that Fili/Sigrid is a ship and I think I kind of like that???)

Anyway, unfortunately I’ve got the setting, but not much else. I don’t know whether it’s worth coming up with a genuine fanfic for this or not.
If you think I should, or have any suggestions for plot points or a general structure to go with this setting, feel free to shoot me a note! I love brainstorming, and frankly can’t seem to do anything with this without help. OTL
