I finally got around to finishing Nier Replicant ver. 1.22! I loved how they added the "Grimoire Nier" content, and that they updated the combat and graphics. All good stuff! It and XBC1 Definitive Edition are great examples of what remasters and upgrades should be. I did my Ending C playthrough in Japanese for the experience and to see if it would affect my interpretation of any relationships (it really only affected one pair), but A, B, D, and E were done in English. I've gotta say, I prefer Tyrann's Japanese voice over his English voice, even if the English voice has its own charm. Although, listening back on his lines in Gestalt, it might just be because of the possibly different voice direction since lines were re-recorded for ver. 1.22.

Complex, complicated, and nuanced relationships are everywhere in the Nier series, and the one between Kainé and Tyrann is one of my favourites.
