This is the pretitest thing I have seen in a long time
The other day I was climbing a tree and had the privilege of cicada hatch from it's shell on a tree, and with it's delicate green wings tinted blue, it looked like this.

I've always loved the sound of a cicada, there's something amazing about their song, especially when you have a good symphony of three or four around, taking turns in a bit of a circle around you. It is truly a summer sound. When I was little I used to think that the noise they made came from the transformers that lined my oakey little neighborhood. lol. Here in Florida, I've heard them somewhere almost everyday, in Detroit their song was more of a late July or early August phenomenon. Here during those months they become truly cacophonous. It's nice to have a sound to go with the picture though, thanks.
