Description
I recently started GMing the Jade Regent from Paizo Pathfinder RPG adventure path. One my favorite parts has been when PC's discovered the mute harpy oracle, Zaiobe in tower library. While the original art is amazing, I wanted to draw her how players first encounter her just peacefully reading. One the players is all ready infatuated by her, and non of them have has yet discovered her true nature.Related content

Sorry don't really have time to do request, though I'm open to commission. I might be able work out a discount cause I like to have more D&D fantasy in my portfolio.

My late reply is late...really late o.o And, i used the wrong word at the time. I forget that 'request' in the artist world tends to mean 'Freebie' which was not at all what i intended ^^ I am still interested in seeing if i can get art of my lovely Nisha done, if your still interested.

Just got to Zaiobe in my game. Glad to have the art available to link to my players, and certainly more along the lines of how I imagined her.

Thanks, my new group of players just got to keep myself and I'm looking forward to encounter. Having ran this adventure once before I know better than run Zaiobe end scenario as written.

I thought that harpies shouldn't have hands, but dexterous toes and maybe couple of claws in their wings. But I love this image and want use it, when I'm GMing the same campaign.
Just a question, did you used the fact in your game, that there is harpy colony just 2 miles from Sandpoint?

True traditional harpies don't have hands, but art I loosely based it on is also the same way. Totally forgot about the harpy colony next to Sandpoint, but Zaiobe is encounter at the keep which a lot farther away north.

I'm just thinking, how I should mess with the group, when they are ready to leave Sandpoint. As one myth about harpies tell they can't stand noices from brass instruments, maybe there are very irritating bard, which should be rescued.

Good idea, all depends on your how what player initial reaction to Zaiobe. If they already have bad dealing with Harpies they have hard time trusting or may just attack at first sight. I wounder if Zaiobe has any family in that colony, like maybe a sister who would like a message delivered.
On side note: My players got double crossed by her last session, when she got greedy and tried to kill them for their loot. She was quickly disarmed by well place greased spell. Zaiobe flew not wanted to risk getting in melee combat with the large party. I'm now trying to decided if I should do anything more with Zaiobe, or just have leave the area permanently.

She did have plans to leave and find Red Bishop, before heroes come in. :/
But if players have something worth of risk, she may stay near and try steal it later.
I also hate it, when monster will fight on to their death without plan or survival instincts. I remember that once somebody killed the villain, before he could end his monologue. The villain just continued his speech until the end, ignoring that his head was not physically in contact with his body.

LOL, good advice. I think at this point she would cut her losses and head off to find Red Bishop.
