ah. it's strange to think about that because "english" for me is language class, but French is a foreign language, and in France it would be the opposite! But you're fluent in both languages while I'm only learning basic French grammar, vocab, etc. (though i've come a LONG way since a year ago)

I've been studying English since kindergarten. I better be good at this point! XD

I only know a couple phrases in French, though :3 I'd like to learn it someday.

I've been "learning" french since 1st grade, but it was before school classes every monday and it wasn't a very good program. all they taught us was memorization of vocabulary and a few basic sentences. They didn't teach us sentence structure or anything, so I couldn't expand my knowledge beyond reciting a few lines. which isn't really learning, and that frustrated me (because i'm a very creative person and I wanted to take what i'd been taught and actually DO things with the knowledge). I think I've learned more in last year's french class (as a school course) than i did in the six years i took it before school. And i've written a poem in French entirely of my own free will, because now i have the knowledge to be creative with the language. it's sad that they don't really offer language IN school until 8th grade, while in many other countries it's a requirement.

French is a beautiful language, you should learn it someday! I'd like to learn latin (not for speaking in latin, but for root words and such) and maybe italian.
