Description
The two surviving London and North Eastern Railway Gresley A4 "Pacific" 4-6-2 streamliners named for people, LNER 4498/BR 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley and LNER 4496/BR 60008 Dwight D. Eisenhower, were displayed together at the National Railway Museum for the July 2013 "Great Gathering" celebrating the 75th anniversary of Mallard's steam speed record of 126 miles per hour. Sir Nigel Gresley has been taken off the main-line railtour circuit for an overhaul after its boiler ticket expired and Dwight D. Eisenhower has been returned to the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA.
