Here is a new entry to our Star Wars fan blog: SWEET UNCLE LOU’S DUNE SEA OF ABCs[link]
I was never a huge fan of Dengar as a kid, maybe because he did not have a whole lot of air time in Empire Strikes Back. His action figure (which I did not own) was kind of goofy looking too. Now as an adult I think he is one of the coolest characters. I would like to hear more about him and his history with Han Solo.

If you read the Boba Fett Bounty Hunter Series, (I think that is the name of the books.) He actually plays a large role and is a central character in that series. Here is the link for the book at Amazon. Good series. [link]

thanks man! I love the Star Wars bounty hunters! I want to do a panoramic painting of all of the ESB hunters with Darth Vader. That is one of my favorite scenes in ESB.

Rob, dude, I freakin love this!! The look on his face is the best thing about it! You took the least impressive of all the Star Wars bounty hunters and made him look like a total badass! Awesome job!!

thanks man!!!! He was always a secondary character, but I'm sure he is a lot cooler than what we saw. I wonder how bad Solo scarred him up, supposedly he fried him with the blast of his swoop bike.....crazy.

Have you ever noticed Dengar is in Return of the Jedi? Right when Luke falls into the Rancor pit, the camera cuts to a wide shot showing the whole room. In that shot look to the far left side of the screen. Dengar can be seen in profile amongst the crowd. You can also see him lurking in the background after the Rancor is killed, when Luke and Han are listening to their death sentences being handed out.

YES!!!! Bossk is there too!!! I remember reading a back story about them both ending up at Jabba's after Fett brought Han back. I wonder if they got the same actor to play him in ROTJ?

Yep! Bossk is there too! Really hard to find but he's there. Bossk was always my number one favorite Star Wars bounty hunter. I gotta draw that guy sometime soon!

I have told you about my secret plans to do some Star Wars fan art eventually. Since Bossk is one of my favorite Star Wars characters, you can bet you'll see him mixed in there somewhere. Now if only I can find time to get to it...
As far as toys... I got the 12" Bossk that Hasbro came out with in 2001. He looks pretty good, but yeah, I can only imagine that a Sideshow version would blow it away. Now if only we could get Sideshow to stop making Jedis and ten different versions of Luke and do the weird aliens.

the latest Star Wars Insider Magazine is out and the overall theme is bounty hunters. There are some good pics of Bossk in there. i love that McQuarrie painting of the ESB Bounty Hunters on Cloud City. Very cool.

Thanks for the update on Star Wars Insider. I loved and collected that magazine from 1999-2005, it was great. But I admit I haven't bought one since late 2005 as the ROTS excitement died down. But I will have to check out this new bounty hunter issue!

Things have kind of slowed down with the mag since ROTS...its like they are rehashing old stuff over and over...lots of "best of" type articles or things that were already written about in the past. I know they kind of complained about that on the Forcecast podcast. But now with all the new stuff coming, there should be a lot of interesting new material!!!

Yeah, Dengar was a least fave as a kid...
Just a flash in the movie, and not the coolest character appeal for a kid... grumpy, pudgy man with a sheet on his head, a lackluster figure too.
But yeah, he's cool now.
