Here is an ink wash dinosaur I did the other night as a test to try some different ink wash techniques. I want to color it in Photoshop. Does anyone have any tips on how I should color it? I think I have to use channels to color.Related content

Don't do anything with it, it looks just fine the way it is. But if you have too, just take pic of elephant or crocs skin and appy it for the skin tones. Like i did with my Davy Jones piece, i took real octopus texture for the skin tone, that's it. Never over do something that already kick ass like your 'ol Rex here man.

killer dino man! I love the line and water color work. If you want to add color in photoshop I'd try making the color you want the dino to be on another layer and try layer blending modes, with the original work on the bottom... that usually gives me a lot of room for playing around with colors.

yeah man, use layers, some dark tones in multiply and some lighter ones in normal, with low opacity. can create a nice tradional look.

Try to watch 's gallery he's a friend of mine who does a great job on color (he uses alot of layers).

Cool drawing! You could use channels to colour it--that's the comic book way--but I haven't been able to wrap my head around that yet. The other option is layers which work just as well except your file size will be bigger.

I love doing that because sometimes i have trouble with working with sepia colored inks! The magic of photoshop!!
