Here is a Halloween drawing for 2008. My favorite holiday! This piece was rendered with a brush and India ink. I chose to color it with only two other colors besides black.Related content

Your style brings me intense glee; it's like the delightful love spawn of Tim Burton and Dr. Seuss. Actually, it really does look like a badass underground childrens book illustration. The story would be about a mystical pumpkin hobo that lead trick or treaters on awesome Halloween adventures... Although if I were writing this it would turn very sinister very quickly.
Oh those inky brush stroke lines, be still my heart.

Cool. Definitely reminds me of the Oz character, but it also makes me think of an old cartoon that I wish I could find, where the main narrative unfolds in a story that a grandfather tells to his two grandkids.
Love the colors and pose, and that skull-tipped wand is also a really nice touch.

Really cool detail. The simple colors along with black are really cool. It gives it such a ghastly feeling.

You are the undisputed King of Watercolors, but it's always great to see you work in another medium! This looks like it would be an illustration in a children's book from our grandparents' era. Love it!
