Lloyd Sharpe is an accountant by day, and costumed crimefighter by night. He is compelled to do good after receiving a mailed package from a relative thought to be deceased-- a mysterious white cowl that, when worn, grants ghost-like powers including intangibility, telekinesis, energy manipulation, and teleportation.

While not physically strong or well trained in combat, Poltermask can be a master of misdirection: often using his powers to confuse criminals before getting the jump on them.
