I wanted to draw Darth Vader again - but I wanted to do something different. I thought that the juxtaposition of the Dark Lord of the Sith, ultimate movie bad guy - in a pretty, colourful woodland on some alien world would be something different!I've called it 'The Nightmare' because, the way I imagine it - the last thing you would want to see if you were in such a peaceful place would be Darth Vader suddenly marching towards you. But I also thought that, for Darth Vader, being in such an idyllic place would also be torture... maybe even a nightmare?
This is an entirely original depiction of George Lucas's character. Drawn by me in Photoshop using a Wacom pad.
I put a lot of hard work and thought into this and I hope you like it - but please let me know before you use any of my drawings anywhere else. Thanks.

Requests? No - because I'm not doing this for money - so I'll basically draw what appeals to me or whatever ideas come into my head - and I've got a stack to work on right now. That doesn't mean I'm not influenced by the discussions I have on here though - or by what I think others might like to see. Hope that makes sense.

Heh, by 'requests' I just meant free drawings based on someone else's ideas...I always think of 'commissions' when I think of paid requests. Sorry about the confusion.

I would pay substantial amounts of money to see you paint Chancellor Palpatine cornered in the window of his office, shooting lightning at Mace Windu a la Episode III.
But then again, you don't want money, so I'll just leave that there

Palpatine vs Mace Windu would make a cool image - and I'll keep it in mind. You're no slouch with a pencil though - so why not take a crack at it yourself?

I would expect to see some red highlights from the light saber on his clothes

Thanks for the interesting comment. Would the light saber would reflect on his clothes? My choice here - was that no it wouldn't - but I that's because I wanted to keep the colours very sombre and didn't want too much red (to fit in with the 'nightmare' theme). I had originally drawn Vader as a blurry black silhouette - but later added more detail - just an example of another choice I made in putting this together.
