Description -FULLVIEW-

The second part of my "How to Paint a face"
tutorial

Remember, painting is a very complicated process, and, unfortunately this is a very bad example of a good painting, but I hope its decent enough to get the point across. Again, here I used for the painting a squarish brush, mixed with the regular brush at 50-60% Opacity, and 20% Flow for the most part, then I turned that up for where I needed the harder and sharper spots. The reason for having the Flow lower is so that the paint mixes better, instead of having a soft brush, which tends to make a painting look much to soft and icky. This seems to be more of a walk-through then an actual tutorial, but, I hope you learn something from it.

(I apologize for the overall crappiness of it)

So this is how you work your magic! I love seeing your process, it's very inspiring. Amazing portrait btw. I'm going to have to give this a try, if my tablet wakes up and stays awake (I think it has epilepsy, poor thing)

Haha, actually, this isn't EXACTLY how I work it. It seems to change every time I start up an image. I'm currently setting aside painting for a couple weeks, and solely working on anatomy and colour. I'm making some pretty huge leaps, so I can't wait to upload some of the anatomy sketches I've worked up. (If you do try this, be sure and upload, I would very much like to see it.)
