Here is a painting I did for the people here at Deviant art! for their support on my first day! much appreciated!I did this quick painting for you guys!
NEXT GEN MARIO CONCEPT!!
still a bit stylized but with a more serious tone! I should explore more ideas and such well see.

Heh, that aside this is a great piece. Kinda reminds me of the old noir gangster films, mario would so be a detective. Very cool.

For some reason... and I hope you don't take offense to this haha but I can see a rugged Joaquin Phoenix resembling this kind of Mario for a movie! UPDATE: Did this up real quick so you could see what I mean, with photomanipulations
