Description
You know the games I playAnd the words I say
When I want my own way
You know the lies I tell
When you’ve gone through hell
And I say I can’t stay
You know how hard it can be
To keep believing in me
When everything and everyone becomes my enemy
And when
There’s nothing more you can do
I’m gonna blame it on you
It’s not the way I wanna be
I only hope that in the end you will see
It’s the Opheliac in me
A devoted tribute to P, the modern-day Ophelia.
I actually disputed the lyrics in the background with my little sister for a good five minutes.
It was going to be either "Opheliac" by Emilie Autumn, or "Dig Ophelia" by Rasputina.
I liked "Dig Ophelia", because P's expression was supposed to be muted and complacent, her on a catatonic day.
But Abby thought that the expression meant outward calm, inward the screaming of mental illness.
We listened to both songs, and decided on Emilie Autumn.
You'd have to listen to both songs to get the real feel of the picture.
Both work, but in entirely different ways.
The fact that she lacks clothing was intended to add to her image of insanity.
And the fact that she was sort of both up against a wall and on her back with her feet up in the air [The way her hair lies back as if on the floor, I did that on purpose.] was supposed to be partially confusing as well.
