Rufus: *his face was contrained as hi tighteend the grip on Andy's hand. Their plummet was fast as there was no warning and Rufus' shock at first at seeing Andy fall erased all reason from his mind. He shifted his weight, bringind Andy closer to him, his arm muscles straining, as he began to slow their decent*

Andy: *Fear ran deep lines in her face as she clutched tightly to Rufus' hand. When Rufus started shifting, she managed to pull herself in closer to him, unable to regain their usual flying position so instead gripped him tight around his middle, thankful that they were no longer plummeting. Not that her muscles were any less tense.*

Rufus: *He slowed even more, his arms going around her waist as he made sure he had a tight grip. He spotted a small pennisula of grass and lowered them onto it. He stared down at Andy, worry all over his face as he didn't release her quite just yet*

Andy: *Her arms were still tight around him when they landed as she stared up at him, fear and shock still lined in her face. She finally let out a breath she hadn't meant to hold.* Arceus. *was all she managed, her head falling forward to hide in Rufus' chest, more spooked than she would have like to admit, her trembling arms holding him a little bit closer as if she still didn't feel she was securely on the ground quite yet.*

Rufus: *He raised his head slightly, looking away from Andy as she laid her head on his chest. He had forgotten how falling had felt in a long time, and finally appreciated exactly why Andy clings to him so tightly when they fly. He then looked down at her, his hand moving to her shoulder* Are you alright? *his voice was more gentle*

Andy: *After a moment she nodded, lifting her head, but still seeming shaken.* Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, sorry. *she said quickly, a bit reluctantly lowering her arms and shifting a little away from him, but didn't appear quite as alright as she claimed.*

Rufus: *he watched her, a million questions bubbling inh is head, like why she was at the cliff and why he madly jumped after her without bothering to just fly down etc. etc. but none came out, and he just watched Andy*

Andy: *She kept her eyes on the ground for a while before finally looking up at Rufus again, seeming to at least have calmed down a little bit. She opened her mouth to speak, then closed it again before opening it once more.* Why didn't you just fly down to catch me? *she realized, unknowingly speaking his mind.*

Rufus: *He met her gaze, and initially would have given her a snappy retort, but he merely shook his head a bit* I... guess I wasn't thinking. Much. *he glared to the side as if it was the wind's fault*

Andy: *She stared at him for a bit before shaking her head a little.* Thank you. *she told him, still feeling a bit shaky.* That one was. . . a little too close for comfort. *She tried to half-joke about it, but still seemed a little off.*

Rufus: *He nodded slightly, his fists clenched at his side as if he expected Andy to fall right out from under him again* Stay away from those cliffs then... *was all he managed to retort*

Rufus: *frowns slightly, taking a look around them. They were still somewhat higher up than normal, but a path lead down towards the cliffs where his house was. He looked back at Andy* This way. *At the moment, he didn't think he was ready to fly just yet*

Andy: *She gave him a look, but followed alongside anyways.* Where are we headed?

Rufus: *without turning to her he said in a slightly quiet voice* Home.

Andy: *She liked the sound of that, admittedly still shaken from her fall and walked a little closer to Rufus as they headed down the path to his house.*

Rufus: *he glanced back at her, maybe because of their proximity, or maybe becaus he felt she might fall again. He walked in silence, trying to keep his mind blank, but his shoulders were stiff and his hands clenched*

Andy: *She watched her feet kicking small stones and noticed with a frown her steps seemed a little less sure than usual, taking in a breath and holding her head up, determined to remain unfazed with this whole deal. Or at least convince herself she was.*

Rufus: *when they got to more level ground, Rufus glanced at Andy, and turned, a slightly worried look on his face* You alright?

Andy: *She turned to him, opening her mouth to lie and say she was fine, but on second thought, shook her head at herself and gave him a small smile.* I've been better. *she admitted.*

Rufus: *He sighed slightly, surprised at himself that he felt releived that she was still shaken, just like him.* I... *he sighed, shrugging slightly* Come on. *his hand moved as if to take hers, but he paused slightly, and just continued walking with his back to her*

Andy: *She glanced down at his hand when it moved, but kept walking with him when he made no action. After a few moments of hesitation, she reach the small distance to lightly hold his hand in hers-- almost unnoticeable with how little pressure she applied as she determinedly stared ahead.*

Rufus: *He stiffened slightly as he felt her hand, and instictly knew he should stop being a fool and leading her on like this, but he took hold of her hand, not too tightly or too loose, despite these warnings in his head*

Andy: *When he didn't pull away, she smiled slightly, still not looking up at him, but her fingers curled around his with a little more confidence and she seemed to relax a bit, just knowing he was here beside her.*

Rufus: *His grip tightened to, and he hurried his pace, going into a bussiness like manner* It's not much farther, I've walked up here before.

Andy: Ah. *she nodded, understanding, but feeling no need to fill the silence, taking comfort in feeling her heat on solid ground and her hand in Rufus'.*

Rufus: *he let the silence dragged on, leading her through the paths that were beautiful in their own rocky way, now that they werre lower and not in any dnager of falling to their deaths*

Andy: *She looked around the scenery she'd never viewed before, feeling herself relax a little more with each step-- in part because it seemed to become more familiar, and another because of the decline in elevation (she firmly told herself it had nothing to do with Rufus' hand although that was the biggest joke of all).*

Rufus: *His house soon came into veiw, and he slowed slightly, looking at Andy* Well. Here we are. *he moved his hand out of hers, but there was a noticable hesitation* Are you alright?

Andy: *She glanced down at her empty hand for a moment before looking back up at him.* Yeah; it's better to be somewhere familiar. *she let out a small half-laugh, just thankful her legs were no longer shaking.*

Rufus: *he sighed slwoly, as if realesing his pent up breath* Well. Come inside for something to drink then? *he stepped towards his door, lookign back at her*

Andy: *She slipped inside, relaxing as she looked around the familiar room. Itg was strange, the calming affect just being in Rufus' home had on her.*

Rufus: *he came in after her, leaving the door slightly ajar to let in fresh air/light. Then he went to the windows and opened the curtains to let in more light and sighed, looking around him. He felt that the house should b more welcomign now that Andy kept coming in*

Andy: *She watched him move about the house opening windows and letting in light she realized he usually shut out. She gave him a look.* Tired of the dark?

Andy: *She gave him a small smile.* Well, it surely brightens the place up a bit.

Andy: You could always close them again before bed. *she offered, smiling and finally seeming to be able to relax being in Rufus' home once more. It was almost strange how at home she felt in his abode.*

Andy: *She snorted with an odd sort of smile at that before giving him a look, but following his direction and seating herself. She craned her neck to watch him disappear into the kitchen as she leaned back, relaxing in the comfort of the couch.*
