Personality: She hates school, like, completely. She’ll not follow the rules (huge offender of the dress code she’d rather run around naked), deliberately causing trouble etc. She’ll pick fights with other students, but when it gets physical, she’ll back down as if nothing happened. She has an attitude and usually doesn’t make friends, because she just don’t like them. her handshakes give splinters, what do you expect?

History: Eloise was raised by her aunt when her father died. Her mother had disappeared a long time ago, and Eloise gave up on trying to ask her aunt about it. At first, she thought she was normal, that every kid had bark growing on their skin or heard trees talking to them etc. She was home schooled by her aunt who also taught at the elementary school.
Eloise was extremely curious, but she wasn’t allowed to leave the house without her aunt. One day when her aunt was at work, Eloise slipped out and snuck into the forest alone. She walked among the trees and had nice little chats. She explored all day until she came to a road, across from it was her aunt’s school. Thinking she didn’t do anything wrong, she went across to say hi.
Kids on the playground started screaming and throwing rocks, scared out of their wits by the walking tree. Eloise’s aunt came out and tried to hide her away, but when they returned home, people from the town came after them. They wanted to protect their kids from what they didn’t know.
Her aunt took her deep into the forest where she told her to hide. She made her promise and Eloise did. Years passed without a word, until humans came to the forest, cutting the trees down for a shopping mall. And unfamiliar anger burned in Eloise and she left the woods, never turning back as she became more bitter towards everyone because she was driven out of each place she called home.
She found Dimidium Academy and enrolled herself in. She hated school from the start, (failing her freshman year) preferring how her aunt teaches, but she’d never admit that she was starting to believe that Dimidium was her home and wouldn’t be taken away this time.

Other:
The wood seems to change everyday, the shape of her arms and feet etc. slightly altered.
When in class and she’ particularly bored, she’ll bend her fingers slowly so they’ll make a creaking noise, usually resulting in the teacher giving her detention.
When she gets very emotional, the wood grows more quickly, covering most of her skin like a shell.
She never found out about her parents, but her mother was a nymph, and her father human.
She usually wears pajamas and stuff cause… she don’t like clothes.
