Description
Although Captain Kirk was killed at the end of "Star Trek Generations," William Shatner, along with writers Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens, brought him back to life in a series of novels, and that's what this pic is based on. I've been wanting to draw something like this for ages, partly just because I thought it would be cool to put Kirk in the TNG movie era uniform. Also pictured is Teilani, the Klingon/Romulan hybrid who is Kirk's love interest in five out of the first six books.

I did a lot more shading/crosshatching than I'm normally comfortable with when I inked this, but the photos I referenced kinda dictated it, particularly the one I used for Kirk, which was from the cover of one of Shatner's other books, Star Trek Movie Memories. For Teilani, I used one of `lockstock 's photos.
