This drawing is over two years old. I originally did it specifically for the currently inactive club , which is/was centered around the characters Mandy from "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy," Gaz from "Invader Zim" and Lala-Vava, Mandark's sister from "Dexter's Lab."I had some trouble finishing the pic, however, plus I guess my interest waned. To be honest, the only character out of this trio that I really like at all is Mandy. Lala-Vava didn't make much of an impression on me during her single Dexter's Lab episode, and Gaz strikes me as a sociopath with no redeeming qualities. At least Mandy has a tiny hint of vulnerability that makes her somewhat sympathetic.

Lala Vava, or Olga, has gotten most of her attention from the power puff girls Doujinshi comics by Bleedman. At least from what I've seen. However, in recent chapters/pages she hasn't been around as much as she was after the fight between Dexter and Mandark. I agree Gaz is a sociopath but some would argue that her being a sociopath is her redeemable quality. I enjoy her attitude in the PPGD webcomic, though in Invader ZimΒ I didn't enjoy her nearly as much. Mandy is, and will always be, one of my favorite characters from the Cartoon Network universe.

I think the fact that Gaz has 'no redeeming qualities' is one of the best things about her. Then again, I always cheer for the villain and the monsters. The fact that both Mandy and whats-her-face can be 'redeemed' and turned to good actually makes them weak in my eyes.Β

I pretty much forgot Lala-Vava existed. Always liked Mandark, though. He stole just about every episode he was in.
Β When I was younger I hated Mandy because she frickin' cheated in that game of limbo and I felt really bad for Grimm, but over time she grew on me. Wasn't ever a HUGE fan of the show, though. I thought it was depressing and kind of cruel.
The thought of Gaz being a sociopath never really struck me, but I can see why you'd think that. I always felt a bit bad for her 'cause in at least two episodes we're shown that she wants to spend more time with her dad. I can also relate to her desire to be able to play that Gameslave of hers in peace, without being interrupted by Dib's shenanigans. I'm probably biased, though, because I have a fondness for cute Goth girls.

I feel so bad about abandoning the club like that =x= Especially because this is such an awesome deviation! I love the colors and the perspective of it~! I can see how much you've gotten better since this in your page, so I'm definetly hoping to see new stuff from you- and hopefully the old stuff also!

Thanks, I used to read that comic fairly regularly, but didn't know it was still going on. Actually, I don't think I've even checked out *bleedman 's page in a year or two. I may have allowed my opinion of him to be tainted by his encyclopedia dramatica entry.

I got into Invader Zim only recently. I'm amazed that such a dark show could have lasted three seasons. About Gaz, you've hit it on the nail. She's a sociopath.
