Description
I decided I wanted to do a step-by-step for one of my Fractal Snowflakes. For those who don't know, I use the program Krita to make all of the images in the series. The images go in order left to right, top to bottom. All of the Fractaled Thoughts Images use the Multibrush Tool which you can do 1 (which would be pointless) up to 50 reflections. In this case it was 5 reflections. The first two images make the shading layers in White, Black and Greys. Most of this layers will be covered up latter but it adds a bit more depth to the image. On top of that I the color to the background which I made with the Sponge_Texture brush in light ice-blue, blue and purple (image 3). Image 4 is is a detailing layer in darker versions of the colors in the third image. I acually did this step after I made the final snowflake to make certain colors in the snowflake stand out more. In the 5th Image I laid down the groundwork for the actual snowflake with the Special_particles_crazy brush in black. After that I added a series of lining using the Curve_ink, Curve_recurvy, and Special_particles_crazy brushes in black that I then reshaded with the FX_ color_HSY brush in shades of blue in purple (image 6). In image 7 I added the snow type effects with Splatter_Thin and FX_splat_starfield brushes in white. Images 8 and 9 are me adding the ice like effects to the image using Special_particles_crazy in white in image 8 and Curve_ink in white to add a bit of fine detail in image 9.
