Heh heh...a cool picture that screams, "C'mere, Wily! I've got something to showwww yyouuuuu..." I was so happy the first time I beat "Mega Man". And I'd never heard of that pause trick either; so actually I was very happy just to beat that twice-darned Yellow Devil to start with.

Same here, I was so thrilled that I'd managed to complete a game which, at the time and even now, was pretty darn hard!
I was always had trouble with Clone Mega!

Oh, yeah, that guy was tough too!! Darn game designers; always making your evil version's weapons far more powerful on you than those same weapons are on the evil version. (Shadow Link or Dark Samus, anyone?) Hah, as a fan of Darkwing Duck at the time, I always called Clone Mega "Nega Man" in my mind.
