What is a "pattern"? Well, the snowflake pattern on Brenda's ears is a good example... so is the starry pattern on Vyala's ears and legs, the pattern that covers Grover's whole body... If I make these patterns once and save them seperately, I'll never have to draw out those little snowflakes or stars again!

Is it lazy? Maybe. But it's also pretty handy xD

This was all done in PSP7, but I'll bet it could be done in any program that allows layers ^^ This is just how I do things x) I also color this way, too... scribbling and shading one color on an entirely new layer and then deleting everything around where it needs to go... ha ha.

This finished image of Brenda (who is just a head in this) can be seen here: [link]

Geez... I'm having too much fun making tutorials lately xD *only ever seems to make them past midnight too, wtf*

do you have to make the patterns? or are they part of the art program? I have to check...

Some programs may have patterns in them? I make my own, though

I have a question! This subject really confuses me, so, yeah...
Ok, what do you do if you have a pattern, but it's really small? I mean, how would you get it big enough to cover the area that you want it to (this is for non-repetitive patterns).

Sometimes you can resize just that layer.... or you could open the pattern and resize it and then paste it into your other picture? That could end up distorting it, though :/

Sounds interesting You are great at making tutorials Sounds very useful for making adoptables as someone mentioned before, I always have trouble with the disco ones x)

I do the same thing x) Make a new layer, draw my disco markings all over it, coloring over my lines if I need to and then just delete where I don't want it x) Ditto for starry, spotted, etc. etc.

Might be that none of my pets have patterns XD But I'm still looking for more efficient ways to do anything on PSP x3
