Description
For this step, cut two copies of the hood pattern from both the outer and lining fabrics, remembering to make them mirror images of each other - flip the pattern over to do this. You'll also need to cut one peek piece from both the linging and outer fabrics, resulting in six pieces total. Once cut, pin the lining and outer fabric pieces together with the wrong sides touching. This should result in the three pieces shown in the picture. Make sure that at this stage that the pieces are correctly assembled - the two layers of fabric should be pinned as they will appear in the finished hood.

Once pinned, sew around each of the three pieces, I generally try to be around 5-6mm from the edge. At this stage you can use any colour of thread, these edges will not be seen once the hood is finished. From the original six pieces, you should now have three double-layered parts.
