Oh my goodness, this is truly, truly astounding work! I was utterly convinced that this was a photo from the thumbnail, but my jaw dropped after I clicked on the link to your step-by-step of this masterpiece. Stunning work, phenomenally realistic....
The composition is gorgeous; the horse's muzzle at the top frames the piece very attractively, and the horse and rider beneath it act like a "pillar" to balance the background space. You've included such rich, tight detail - the snow on the horse's muzzle, the thick hairs on its jaw, the soothing pastel colors of the snow and sunset - that this becomes a wonderful treat for the eye.
