Description
Another quick one made while recovering, kind of an environment practice... blending and realism and such.
Besides, the background stock image was asking for it for a long time...

There's actually a theory that the Great Pyramid of Egypt can do that

Scientists are actually backing up that theory too!

I so should've known this was one of yours when I saw it in a feature but it was different enough to not tick me off right away - so please, tell me, where do you get that inspiration tat doesn't seem to dry up?

Heehee thanks so much for the compliments Jasmin!
I just look at a lot of concept art and matte painting I guess, also been focusing more on learning techniques and so on than motives and such lately. Feel like I gotta get back to have more meaning in my art at least now and then. I personally value the kind of inspiration works like yours that have a deeper meaning more than I value stuff like landscapes... or I guess I see these more as a craft, and more conceptual art such as yours and others' more like art...

be careful what you wish for - I would love to just create sth pretty right now but each time I start I think "Oh that is so boring" and then stop before even being close to finishing... hope it'll take a turn for the better soon

But then you would just be doing.. boring things. xD
In all seriousness now though, I see what you're saying, I think we all want and sometimes need to get away from what we usually do, just a way to improve ourselves and also to have fun and feel more... free? Hm. ^.^
I too hope we'll see new art from you soon!

yes, I so agree
I actually went on a photoshoot last weekend (with real photographers and models and equipment ) and brought back some cool pics I plan on sharing soon
Quite a few need some editing first though

Glad you're getting stuff done, having good equipment and especially models sounds like a lot of fun. ^.^'

it is - it is kickstarting my inspiration because now I see the chance to get my own photos for the protagonists (well, eventually)... means I can get the strange angles etc that are always missing from classic stock, too

Rowye In reply to kuschelirmel [2018-04-04 12:11:32 +0000 UTC]
Haha I so feel your pain. When you find that pose you really really like but also really really need another angle or perspective... xD

I just had to realize it is even worse if you took the photos yourself and later sit in front of PS with that super great idea that only now had the grace to show up *doh*

Rowye In reply to kuschelirmel [2018-04-06 17:23:14 +0000 UTC]
Haha I had that happen too although when I take photos it's just me and my cam, not a good enough photographer to make the equipment worth renting. XD
But, unless this was a one time deal, you can now take that idea's photo on the next session.

it's not going to be the last time, though probably not a super-regular thing either - and often these get-togethers have a theme, so going back to the last one isn't really possible... and to do that I'd need to remember and hold on to that brilliant idea anyway now that's something that is unlikely

Ahh I see, dammit. :c
I guess each of the get togethers will also be a learning experience for you and situations like this are gonna happen less, as you will be able to think and prevent before the fact.

What scary is your artwork may not be a thing of fiction when it comes to possible truth about the pyramids.

Heehee I guess one day we might figure that one out for real. For now, just fantasizing about it. xD
Thank you!

Most excellent work! You keep posting these while recovering, we can't wait to see what you'll do when you're healed!!

Heehee mostly healed by now, luckily I'm already working full time.
Problem with that is... most of the stuff do for work I can't really post, so I'm squeezing these few I made for fun. New one later today...
Anyway, thank you!

Yeah, that's the thing with doing what you love for a living...it becomes so much of a business you can't show it off or do what you want with it. Among other things. (Like having to do it even when you don't)

Yeah, some jobs aren't really my cup of tea. But I'd never change those for having an asshole boss waiting for me around the corner. xD
