More character design and originality practice
Haha someone who differs from Leafy in every way imaginable 
Introducing Rev Rocket ( Hehe finally a better name than Leafy leaf XD) a lavawolf who along with Commet competes at the speedway. He is fast and dedicated, talking a mile a minute and has a very short attention span. His lighter markings are made from lava which acts as more of a putty, being able to be shaped at will and becoming highly unstable at greater speeds. Haha needless to say having blisteringly hot components does act as a hindrance at times

His skin must have some really good thermal retention. The scientists cloning "Atlantis Creatures" will want to learn something that can make them millions, so we better make sure they play nice.

Keeping his high body temperature and corresponding abilities would require more than coal. I'd guess he has nuclear reactions inside, much like the radioactive decay that heats up the Earth's core unless you want it faster and hotter than that. Maybe a small star? For the latter, there'd be the irony of a lava creature drinking cool water so the hydrogen can feed him.
