Gift to my good friend ^_^ Finally finished this last night ^_~; Pretty simple, I just wanted more of a manga look like xxxHOLiC o.O pure black and white. Hair is more mangaish I think ^_~; though it's hard to stray from the anime style more ... References used of course, made up the outfit though o.O anyone like this weird turtleneck short sleeve oddly cropped black shirt? lolHiwatari (c) Yukiru Sugisaki

o.o; just practice lol, there are lots of wing designs ^^ o.o like the more feathery one in my Kamui picture. For Hiwatari I was kinda thinking of a bird's wing design. If you see the DNAngel artbook, they have much different wing designs which was a lot more complicated for me to try to do o.o;

o.o No question is a dumb question unless I just answered it lol. o.o hm actually that's all in pencil (and still is), I darkened the lines in photoshop and cleaned up the lineart. Then I just added black ^^ I don't like inking my work ^_~ since I would probably ruin it. And I'm shading the final anyway when I give it to my friend.

o.O Oh you don't always have to ink, it just makes it a ton easier to clean. Some artists make great linearts with just pencil o.o; you just have to make it really dark and try not to smear much. You can make it darker by using the levels in photoshop. I had to make sure the lineart was dark as I can to make it look more like I inked it ^_^; LOL
